Proper Japanese onigiri!
Reminded me of my grandma’s onigiri. It was handmade, warm, and just such a nice snack.
Edamame, Umeboshi and Konbu are vegan!

Best rice! - Edit

I am surprised this only has 3 ratings by now. Born here in The Netherlands, but as a Chinese rice is just my thing. This place has the best rice I ever had in NL. The vegan flavours really compliments with the rice and gives it a great burst of flavour. The vegan options are very few though, when I come in the evening it's already sold out. It is a take away shop with no seating, but it really has something charming to it, feels like you are not in Amsterdam anymore when you are in the shop.

Pros: Best quality in rice, Hidden gem, Local and authentic

Cons: Only Take Away, No seating, No toilets

great pick up late at night. 2.50 for a vegan onigiri is pretty sick. the miso soup is also vegan and really nice.

Onigiri love - Edit

I came back here everyday while in Amsterdam. There's a couple of choices of vegan onigiri and all were super delicious. They are usually freshly made and the owner can make you more on request if they run out of any. This place is great for a quick snack, they made me fall in love with onigiri.

Pros: Great for an on-the-go snack, Affordable, Delicious

We stopped at Onigiri YA! to buy umeboshi onigiri.
The owner is very nice and made some fresh onigiri for us (the rice was still warm).
The filling quantity was perfect and it was so yummy that we eat them all before having time to take pictures. Merci beaucoup !
