KHAO SOI VEG

Iba en busca del plato típico de chiang mai pero vegetariano y encontramos este sitio con una variedad grandísima de platos. El Khao soi estaba buenísimo. Sin duda volvería y lo recomendaré.

Very good veggie dishes

Recently opened just two months ago, this restaurant left a lasting impression on me. The stir-fried morning glory was perfectly seasoned, the veggie fried rice had a great mix of flavors, and the spring rolls were crispy and flavorful. The standout dish was the tofu with cashew nuts, offering a satisfying blend of textures. What made the experience truly special was the owner's kindness and hospitality. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant dining experience and sent us off with the best banana chips I've ever tasted, leaving me wanting more. The combination of delicious dishes and thoughtful gestures makes this restaurant a must-visit. I'm looking forward to trying their Khao Soi and seafood options next time!

New place near Nimman

Had planned to eat at the Mexican place next door but decided to try out this new spot instead. The entire back side of their menu is dedicated to vegan dishes (however, it does include an ’omelette’ so worth double-checking your dish doesn’t contain egg). All dishes are 95-150 baht each.

Overall, we found the food tasty but the portions quite small. The som tam in particular was rather tiny, which at first glance was less noticeable due to its aesthetically pleasing presentation on a long, narrow plate. I also didn’t love how they left the garlic skins on, which were either unpleasant to chew or arduous to pick out. The mango sticky rice also looked pretty, served with a purple orchid and rice formed into a heart, but the mango itself was unfortunately a bit sour.

Situated on a busy road, the place can get quite loud, but the corner location and big windows at least make it lovely and bright inside. They also have a small outdoor seating area if you don’t mind the noise of the traffic.

Pros: Over a dozen vegan options 🌱, Bright interior ☀️

Cons: Serves animal products 🐷, Quite small portions 🤏
