Good food

So the owners are a bit tough to deal with. Sometimes border line rude other times overly prideful.having been going there now for a year or more, this is a very common complaint of theirs. However, the food is good (mostly - sometimes the desserts aren’t so great but there’s a few shinning stars in there).

They have an allergy friendly menu that’s split up into two groups. They do offer a vegan option as well for their dishes. The menu is split up into 2 groups (dairy and non dairy). This is especially nice for people like me who can’t eat dairy products at all. So yes, like another reviewer mentioned, you can get a burger with vegan cheese .... but that options is really for people with dairy allergies. The vegan option would be their bean burger with the vegan cheese.

This restaurant isn’t a vegan/ or vegetarian restaurant it’s an allergy free restaurant (mind you the only one in the country of this kind). Considering they avoid the top 7 deadly allergies the food is very tasty.

But again, the owners are kinda tough...

Pros: Great options , Great food, Good portions

Cons: Expensive , Not consistent , Service is hit or miss

Be VERY careful

I went here with a friend who is vegan as well, the staff was rude and she clearly ordered a vegan grilled cheese and was served a real dairy sandwich, making her ill for the rest of the day due to a dairy intolerance. Staff was unaccommodating and still made her pay for their mistake that made her sick. We will never be returning.

They started using the new daiya shreds a few weeks ago. They melt a lot like real cheese so it looks different too. These use potato starch. Is it possible this is what made her sick? I’m surprised to hear about such a mix up at this place since they are very aware of allergies.

This was over the summer and the person who rang her up admitted their mistake to my friend. She said something about how “it’s just a lifestyle choice” to my clearly distressed friend, who actually has a dairy intolerance. I was also very surprised, and it worried me that they could be so flippant when they advertise themselves as an allergy-conscious restaurant.

qurkie but good

My fourth or fifth visit and i revoewed on yelp before.

Yes the owners and operators are a bit strong willed and I had to turn on a little new york attitude when I quizzed them on the actual ingredients and they tried to school me on what the menu says and how I did not seem to understand the green menu and.the blue menu and the vegan v and the vegetarian v etc etc.

Anyway....skip.the staff. The place is clean, big enough, great selection , great products and ingredients.

My vegan "cheeseburger" was a vegan cheese and bean burger and homemade gluten free roll. Little tomato and a vegan mayonnaise with no oil etc.

It was fantastic. Well made, properly cooked, very tasty, and the side of French fries was a nice add.

Pros: lots of vegetarian and vegan options

Cons: owners a bit "quirky" but knowledgeable and experi

be very careful

you need to be very aware that their blue menu has in my opinion false advertising. there are burgers. sandwiches etc that have vegan cheese on them but still have animal products. for instance a few burgers have Angus meat but vegan cheese... makes absolutely no sense to me. then a chicken sandwhich with veg cheese and a Reuben but they both have meat.

Pros: food is ok

Cons: very expensive and menu is very tricky.

I will go back but..

I didn't think the owners were the nicest. I felt as if they were slightly rude (maybe I'm overly sensitive but my husband and friend were also not impressed with them). The black bean burger was ok. My omni husband and friend loved their food and I can't wait to go back and try the vegan pizza! Their baked goods were amazing!!

very good

My family and I were on vacation in Maryland and decided to go to lunch here. The food was very good. Our children really liked their vegan grilled cheese sandwich and the vegan pizza we ordered was very good. The Vegan Black bean cheeseburger was good too. The desserts were wonderful (whoopie pie and ice cream cookie). Very vegan and gluten free friendly.

Pros: vegan freindly, gluten fee friendly, family friendly

Excellent Restaurant

The owners of this café are very helpful and conscientious about food allergies and preferences. Everything is clearly labeled as vegan, gluten free, etc. The pizza is very tasty as well as the desserts. This is definitely a great place to dine at.

Good

I haven't had the chance to go to the restaurant yet, but a friend brought a gluten-free vegan pizza from there to a party that I attended. It was quite a yummy pizza! She and other friends who have been there are very pleased with the restaurant's vegan and gluten-free options. My understanding is that everything there is very clearly labeled and that the restaurant is very cautious about not cross-contaminating ingredients.

Pros: A lot of vegan options, Clearly labeled foods
