De knolselderij kroketten waren erg lekker! Heerlijk met vegan truffelmayo. Ook hadden ze havermelk cappuccino en zat er een punselie koekje bij. Ze doen goed hun best 🤩

Leuk eetcafé met meerdere vegan gerechten! - Edit
Aangezien het in Roermond wel even zoeken is naar lekker vegan eten, waren we echt positief verrast dat dit gewoon bij Ome Jeu kan! De plek waar we ‘in een vorig leven’ op zondag de dag starte met een dierlijk spek met kaas broodje, heeft nu meerdere lekkere vegan gerechten op de kaart staan. Geen poespas maar gewoon écht lekker! 👍

We bezochten deze zaak twee keer, heel wat vegan gerechten op de kaart, geen foto's genomen bij het mees recente bezoek, wel van de vegan pinza's waarvan we genoten in 2021, kleine lekkere vegan pizza's.

Decent pub food in the nice market place - Edit
In the central market place of Roermond there are several bars and restaurants next to each other. Ome Jeu is going for the pub atmosphere with an extensive selection of beers on the menu and some typical pubfood. I counted about 9 or 10 vegan options on the menu and was not disappointed with the vegan pickled burger. Staff was friendly and aware of veganism.

Perfect place to have dinner for vegan and non-vegan people. Very friendly waiters that clearly did their research about veganism. Multiple vegan options for starters and main course that are labelled on the menu. Would give 5 star rating if possible.

We had a sandwich with avocado, tomato’s, onions and vegan feta and celery croquettes with truffles mayo, fries and salad. Both was excellent.
The staff was very friendly.
I fully recommend going there. Would give 5 stars if possible .

Very nice and welcoming staff. Delicious food. We had Vegan and Vegetarian and everything was great. Also a very nice plate presentation and extra small taste on the house.

Great celeriac-croquettes - Edit
We went here for some drinks and a snack. The ‘knolselderij bitterballen’ were amazing, served with a vegan sauce, and we had some Greek olives as well. The menu includes many more vegan options including a salad, curry and burger, but we didn’t try those.

Nice vegan options for reasonable prices - Edit
They have several vegan options, I had cauliflower soup and celeriac croquettes. Now in season (may), they also offer a vegan asparagus dish (local specialty food), which I had a couple of weeks ago. In almost overy course/ type dish they offer one or more vegan options. Clearly stated on the menu-card in dark green as "vegan". Also they offer many different specialty beers. The atmosphere is informal, personally I like this a lot.
