I would avoid

The "aglio olio" was far from aglio olio and tasted like nothing (even though they had even added bell peppers to this creation). Came here for a 2nd time and had the only other option from the menu (stir fried veggies) which unfortunately smelled and tasted like it was fried on the same dirty pan as they had just fried my omni companion's beef burger — which made me feel so disgusted and killed my appetite. There's far better food with cheaper prices in this bay.

Pros: The venue is nice and cozy, Service staff is super friendly

Cons: Food lacks of flavour, Dishes being actually vegan is questionable

Decent choices

I went there twice. First time it was around 3pm and they said only pasta and burgers were available. We took the aglio olio without cheese and pomodoro pasta without cheese. Both very nice!second time we wanted to try their local food and we asked for traditional recipes without cheese and egg. They did it with no problem and it was very tasty

Not good.

I stayed at Ombak Resort and had a meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Ombak Café. Before arrival I specified the need for vegan food and was assured that this is no problem. I can assure you: it was a problem. One evening I was literally served white steamed rice with a side of soy sauce lol. Breakfast options were limited to watermelon, baked beans and white bread - not very filling for a day of diving 🥲 The staff at the restaurant was always annoyed when I asked if they could prepare me vegan food for my lunch and dinner (which I paid for in my meal package) and made me feel not welcome at all. Ultimately, after the first night of white rice and soy sauce, they were able to make a stir fry with veggies and tofu, served with rice. That was my meal for 3x lunch and 3x dinner. No sauce, no salt, no seasoning, bland sadness. One night I decided to get a fruit smoothie and it was the worst I’ve had in my entire life. Unripe pineapple really tastes disgusting. All in all: avoid this place, go to other, vegan friendly places to eat on the island (which there certainly are some of!)
