While there is a sign out front that states “WFPB” we were startled that there was only one option and it was a starter. The starter was an eggplant dish. We ordered two but they only had one available and it was about 5:30. So any other vegan arriving was out of luck. It was thoroughly delicious, $15.99, but we were still hungry. So we went to Skagway Brewing and shared the vegan burger and the hummus.
Cruised into town and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves at 6pm. Garden outside had my mouthwatering but they were out of the vegan salad option before dinner service started. I had a roasted eggplant dish with cashew cream that was dreamy. Everyone enjoyed the meal and drinks. Would dine again
Vegan options are slim in Alaska, so what a thrill when we found a restaurant with a few clearly marked vegan options at Olivia's. The food wasn't the most amazing food we've ever had but it was still great! Even more, the staff was interested in our recommendations on what vegan dessert options they could offer since they currently do not have anything on the menu.
Very friendly staff and one of the very few places in Skagway that have clearly marked veg items on the menu, but somehow uninspired and limited vegan selection. The dishes are on the small side.
If you're in Skagway, any veggie options are good options! This place serves mostly organic food, and they have one or two vegan options plus a few vegetarian options. We had the veggie chili and it was delicious, but on the small side for being $9 per bowl. You can't really complain about prices in Skagway though, because they have to go through a lot to get food there!
The restaurant itself is pretty small and cramped, but it wasn't the worst. There is a nice outdoor area with some seating as well. Also, be prepared to wait. They are definitely understaffed but they are doing the best they can with the few workers they have there!
