Great little cafe!

Right now the menu includes the following vegan options: bean stew with garlic baguette, smoked tofu bagel, grilled cheese toastie, bruschetta, guacamole toast and toast with jam. They also have vegan pastries that seem to differ each day. I got myself some sort of vegan croissant knot and loved it. All of the food I have tried here was great so far!

delicious vegan pancakes!

I took my younger sister to Olivia’s yesterday and in her words it’s was the ‘best apple juice ever!’. I have to agree the lemonade I had to drink was the best lemonade I have had too! There was a good amount of vegan options; and they were actually GOOD vegan options! I had the vegan pancakes which were delicious, my sister had the plant based cookie dough ice cream which she really enjoyed! I will definitely go back when I visit loughborough again.

Pros: Good vegan options , Friendly staff, Comfortable seating

Good freshly made food, glad we ended up here

Toasties are really nice. Thick bread made fresh on the premises.

Pros: At least 35% of the menu is vegan or can be, Screens up between tables for covid, Food is good portion sizes and tasty

Cons: 40p more for vegan milks in hot drinks

Plenty of choice

The soup and toastie option is a really filling and warm lunch. The vegan cheeses used melt really well and compliment the soup beautifully. My husband had food envy especially after he tried the soup. If you're not a fan of garlic it might not be the soup for you, me I loved it. The bread was also delicious, it looks like they've taken on feedback and have a bit more range now. Overall choice on the menu is good with vegan options and dishes that can be served vegan all clearly labelled. The cakes at the counter are also clearly labelled and tempting as you order. I tried the Biscoff Slice which was tasty but not what I was expecting. The portion of cake compared to my husband's non-vegan cake was a little disappointing, it was my turn for food envy. I was expecting a more obvious Biscoff flavour but the overriding flavour was nutmeg - very reminiscent of egg custard tarts when I was a kid. I'd definitely come here again and would recommend it to vegans and veggies if they're in Loughborough. My husband would recommend it for non-vegans too, so a good all rounder if you need to cater for a mixed group. For any coeliacs it's worth noting they also have gluten free options, although they aren't as obvious on the menu.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan items and vegan options clearly labelled, Gluten free available

Cake! Vegan cake

Olivia’s is a cool, friendly coffee shop that has an amazing selection of vegan (and gf) cake. Been a few times, latest visit this weekend was Black Forest chocolate cake, pretty amazing. The coffee is top notch too.

Update October 2020 - and with a couple of vegan brunches on the menu too now. Spotted vg jam and lemon doughnuts for sale too

Pros: Vegan cake!

Great for coffee or lunch

Ordered the soup of the day (£3.50) and a vegan lemon muffin (£2.50, clearly marked). There was also a gf and vegan bakewell slice. Soup didn't come with bread so I was confused but apparently the bread is not vegan so beware of that. They did find me a brown roll but I thought it was odd I paied the same price as for soup and bread but only got the soup!
Overall would go again but some more vegan bread (for sandwiches etc) would be great.

Pros: Good amount of vegan lunch and cake items, WiFi

Cons: Only one bread is vegan
