Able to Cater - Edit

I had the lions mane mushroom cacciatore. Originally on the menu this comes with polenta (which I thought was vegan because it's cornmeal and water usually) however the waitress told me that it contains dairy (potentially some confusion there but I didn't want to argue) so the polenta was substituted for roast potatoes.

The menu does not have vegan options clearly labelled so there is a lot of guesswork involved however the servers will help if you ask them.

There were also a few other vegan options on the menu such as tomato/arabiatta pasta however I would double check to see if the pasta contains egg. For appetisers they had olives but I think they could be able to adapt more dishes from the menu if necessary.

While I would not recommend to vegans (there are many better Italian vegan options in Kingston) it is good to know that they cater if like in my case your friends already chose this place for dinner.

Pros: Able to substitute ingredients, helpful staff

Cons: unlabelled vegan options, confusion on what is vegan
