New location, different vibe - Edit
We were at the original Olive Mediterranean when they were on Dixie. It was a full service restaurant that we enjoyed. First time at the new location. This site is counter service and a more casual vibe. We were there for dinner and many people picked up to go orders. The food was ok. We likely won't make a special trip to come back here. The first staff member I talked to did not seem clear on what items were vegan.

This place has saved my ass so many times. Delicious falafel wraps, tabbouleh, hummus, great low-key dining spot downtown

Baba ganouj! - Edit
I don’t know why I’m just finding Olive! The food is absolutely delicious! Everything is marked that is vegan or can be made vegan. I got the vegetarian mix with Greek potatoes and lentil soup. The soup was super creamy and delicious! The hummus was so fresh and had great flavor. I loved the Greek salad as well. But probably my favorite was the baba ganouj! It had a great smoky flavor and was sooo good! If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking them out! We will be back very soon!

Should be 6 stars! - Edit
I know that downtown Dayton isn't the most welcoming of places but trust me when I say TAKE THE TRIP AND EAT AT OLIVE MEDITERRANEAN!
Read moreThe first thing you notice when you enter is it's extremely clean, organize and pandemic ready. The young man that greeted us was friendly, professional and wore his mask correctly (no under the nose for him). They had lots of vegan options so we ordered the Vegetable platter, Lentil soup and a hummus plate. One word to describe everything: amazing! The soup was very hot (as soup should be) and the taste was rich, creamy, a tad bit of spice and very fresh. The Vegetable plate with rice, falafel and hummus was also seasoned perfectly and the combination was excellent. It was a lot of food for a small price. Suffice to say we almost licked the plates because it was sooooooooo good.
If you're ever in the Dayton area, take the trip downtown and visit this friendly, clean, professional, exceptionally tasty, inexpensive restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Pros: Clean, professional, pandemic ready, , Inexpensive, fantastic flavor and taste
Cons: People's perception of downtown Dayton.
