Not vegan - Edit
Yes, they have a vegan menu, but everything is cooked in the same fryer as the meat?!

Nice Food, Vegan Shakes Unavailable - Edit
As I had such a good experience in their Oswestry branch a few months ago, I feel a little disappointed by my visit to the Northop site.
Read moreAs the title suggests, I ordered a Vanilla Vegan Shake only to be told they did not have any vegan ice cream in to make the shakes. This was a disappointment, especially as they have no vegan milkshake alternatives available, such as smoothies or desserts. I ordered the Vegan Chilli with a side of Vegan Onion Rings and Guacamole. The food was pretty good, but the quality was not as high as it was during my visit to their other site. They also forgot to either record or prepare one of the dishes a member of my group had ordered.
It was a busy Friday night during my visit, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and shall pay them another visit during a quieter time. OK Diner is a very convenient spot for vegans travelling into Wales on the A 55 and is a very welcome choice over the many McDonalds that are littered along the express way.

Vegan options are not vegan - Edit
They state at the top of their 'vegan' menu that the products are cooked with meat - either on the same grill or in the same fryer. I checked with the server, this is true! Beware

It was ok... - Edit
No physical available vegan menu, you have to check online and they don't really serve much of it. The penne pasta was bland and the portions are stingy, with no mushrooms as described. The fries were very good which made up for the mediocre pasta.

Disappointing - Edit
A separate vegan and veggie menu is available upon request which is great. However, my vegan burrito arrived with cheese inside and a side of sour cream. Sadlt we didn't have time to wait for them to make me another.

A great pit stop - Edit
It was late, my boyfriend and I were driving from Winchester to Wales, and we were starving. We pulled over at a service station and lucked out finding this place. I didn’t really expect much, but it was surprisingly good and had several options. I had the vegan burger with curly fries. Everything was well prepared and very tasty and I was absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, even though there was only a half hour until closing when we came in. I would definitely recommend it if you’re traveling that way, or staying at the nearby hotel, or even if you just want a fun little American style diner meal.
