Yummy vegan sushi - Edit
Really flavorful vegan sushi. The rice isn’t perfect, but it didn’t bother me given that we were in Alabama and not at a Japanese food restaurant.

We had veganized tacos; the tortillas were cold and definitely out of a bag, not fresh. Bland, but improved when we added guacamole from our guac and chips. Fried things were very heavy and greasy (chips & tempura veggies.) The Bajiro sushi roll was a bizarre combination of flavors; did not enjoy. The beer arrived in a dirty can. Staff was friendly but service slow.

I had a great experience here: the sushi rolls were excellent, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful re. which menu items were vegan. The service was very fast, contrary to what I expected having read the other reviews!

Vegan sushi! - Edit
Awesome vegan sushi! They have both savory (dinner) sushi and sweet dessert sushi that is all vegan. The food was a little slow coming out, but I wasn't in a hurry so the relaxed place was nice.

The Bike Shop has always had a fun, funky atmosphere with an honestly dizzying selection of beers, but now they've added an entirely separate vegan menu, which is fantastic. (Only the sushi type items, not the Mexican side of the kitchen yet.) The food was delicious and the wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful, the service was just really slow. We've been several times thinking it was a fluke but it is honestly slow every time.
Read moreThat being said, if you have the time to kill it's worth the wait since these weren't your standard "garden rolls" that most places do...aka lettuce and cucumber stuffed into a roll as an afterthought. These recipes were creative, inventive, and often of an artisanal level. They even have dessert!

Full, separate vegan menu. Several main menu items can be made vegan as well. Everything was fantastic! Service was stellar. And... we’re waiting on a drag brunch now, so there’s that! 😀
