Heaven on earth! - Edit
Simply the best place in Montreal! Not only the food is delicious but it’s also beautiful. The staff is really nice. Located in a great neighbourhood and close to the Mont-Royal station. A must go in Montreal.

Creative vegan sushi - simply excellent - Edit
So impressed by this cute sushi place in the Plateau serving creative plant-based sushi and other Asian fare. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and visually appealing. It's a tiny little restaurant (with a lovely outdoor patio in the summer), very warm and welcoming, and I would 100% recommend this place. The prices are mid-range (expect to spend a bit over 30$ per person, including tax and tip). The service was a bit slow, but maybe it was just a very busy evening.
Read moreThere is a large selection of sushi rolls, including several made with black rice. The easiest (and most budget-friendly) option would be to go for the combo platters, but it's fun to order rolls individually to try out different things. I can't even pick a favorite, everything was so tasty! The rolls are quite big and filling. We ordered 5 rolls for 2 people - we finished everything, but we were stuffed afterwards!
I highly recommend this place for beautiful & delicious vegan sushi in the Plateau Mont-Royal!

Colourful and fresh! - Edit
This was my first experience at a fully vegan sushi restaurant, and I was not disappointed! I had the Princesse, the F-eel me and the Fruit maki.
Read moreThe Princesse was a great, both in taste and texture, and just the right balance between a classic sushi and something more original with the beets and lentils. The touch of green apple really hit the spot. The spicy mayo sauce that comes with it is a perfect match. 8.5/10
I wasn't convinced by the F-eel me, since as a long-term vegan I found the texture and taste of the faux-shrimp and faux-tuna very rubbery and unsettling. A lot of people seem to like them, but it's just not for me, maybe because it's too realistic, and I had to pull them out. The cold mushroom didn't help. Interestingly, the caviar didn't bother me. 5/10 Thankfully, there are many other very appealing "fish"-free options on the menu if you want to steer away from that.
Now, the Fruit maki was just something else. It's like a pink crêpe wrap filled with fruit (and avocado?!) served with a large slice of pitaya, maple syrup and ice cream. Does that sound a little random? But WOW. It was the perfect summery, festive dessert. That thing changed my life. I'm going to dream about it tonight. I will for sure go back to this place, if only to get only those Fruit maki as a random snack. 12/10
(Note that you don't have to pay extra for soy sauce, ginger and wasabi, although it's not super clear if ordering online! I also felt like I didn't need any of these, the food and sauces are way tasty enough already.)
Pros: Colourful and fresh food, LOTS of choice, Dessert made my heart sing with joy
Cons: A little expensive, Mock tuna was unsettling, I didn't like it

Creative and Colourful - Edit
I had the Black Dragon tempura maki, the mimosa maki and edamame roll to go. Just a few items from a very long and varied menu. They were very flavourful. Somewhat expensive but worth the price and the maki were a generous size.

Really interesting flavor combos - Edit
They’re making some really interesting dishes at Ohana, with a lot of great flavor combinations. I am a fan! Most of the rolls are veggie-forward but they also have a few types of mock fish. The tartare aux champignons is fantastic. The fruit roll for dessert is also fun. It’s also less expensive than some of the other local vegan sushi places, and the staff is really nice and has a chill vibe. Overall, it’s a definite must try!

Creative - Edit
Fancy vegan sushi! Very creative. I'm only giving 4 stars because I'm not a huge fan of sushi with more than a couple ingredients in the filling, but that's just my preference.

The best sushi I’ve ever had. - Edit
The best sushi in the world is in Montreal and yes it’s vegan. This is a place that lives up to your expectations. Sometimes you see a beautiful picture on Instagram and you go try the food and it’s not great. This was the opposite. This sushi is bursting with flavour. Everything is so so delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly and grateful. I’ve been to beyond sushi a few times in NYC and this is 100 times better. You can taste the love that’s gone into this sushi. We also had amazing miso soup and golden tofu. I will drive from Ottawa to Montreal to go here again. If you’re planning on visiting Montreal, do not skip Ohana Sushi!
