Sorely disappointed - Edit
I wanted to love this place and couldn't believe how disappointing it was. The food is mediocre, inauthentic, and overpriced.
Read moreGrowing up in a Korean household, I know what the non-vegan versions of these dishes tastes like. And this place gives an extremely poor representation of Korean food.
We got the donkasseu, fried chicken, bulgogi, fried egg, and deulkkae kalguksu.
Donkasseu itself was greasy and all batter, hardly any substance. The sauce they gave broke my heart and I couldn't believe how flavorless it was.
Wish we got the yangnyeom chicken instead, because the sauce-less ones we got were just pieces of fried chunks.
Bulgogi was disgusting. Insanely greasy and only tasted like sesame oil. Texture of the "beef" was rubbery and soggy.
Fried egg was fine. Cool concept, seems like it's made out of tofu.
Deulkkae kalguksu was lacking seasoning, it sorely needed salt.
Couldn't believe they only offered up 4 banchan, and 2 of them were surprisingly great and tasted like home. The baechu kimchi was disappointing.
They have a great ordering system that makes it easy for non-Korean speakers to place an order. Great location in the heart of Insadong. Service was friendly and quick.
Pros: Location, Easy ordering system
Cons: Inauthentic, Pricy

Great vegan food! - Edit
A great spot to visit for vegan Korean/Chinese food in Seoul.
Read moreIt was easy to order on the screens on each table, which had descriptions in English as well as pictures of each dish. I ordered the large spicy noodle soup with a side of rice, which was fresh, tasty, and a very good portion size. The prices were also good for the location.
I would particularly recommend for solo travellers, as there were many small tables and I didn’t feel out of place eating alone!
Pros: All vegan, Very quick service, Good prices
Cons: Busy on weekends

Korean food but made vegan - Edit
I've been here twice now and intend to come back. Really enjoy their food. So far, I had the spicy tofu stew, Outer leaves stew (reminded me of spinach), the jajangmyeon and of course the vegetable and the kimchi dumplings (definitely get them!) and everything absolutely delicious! 😍
Read moreYou order your food over a little screen directly at your table and a friendly Korean lady will bring it to you. She doesn't speak English, but so far, that never was a problem. 😊
My only small critique would be that the TV is a little loud. One time I was seated directly next to it and it was kind of distracting. 🤷♀️
Update: I've taken several non-vegan friends here over the time and so far, everyone likes it 👍

Our favorite in Seoul - Edit
We’ve been there more than ones while our stay in Seoul. Absolutely amazing to be able to try some authentic korean food in vegan version.
Read moreEverything we tried from the menu was delicious and I’d re order it next time again.
Positively to mention that you need to place the order via Tablet on the table, menu on the tablet itself comes wish a picture of every dish so you know what you can expect.

Amazing! - Edit
If you’re looking for vegan versions of Korean food then go here! We ordered tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, tofu spicy soup and some mandu and it was all so tasty and reasonably priced. No alcohol which is a shame but I would happily eat here every day whilst im in Korea!

Good food - Edit
I was excited to see there was a vegan restaurant right next to my hotel. My husband and I ordered the spicy chiken and dumplings. I would have liked it if the chiken was more spicy and hotter. It came to us room temp. The dumplings were good.

Good but overpriced - Edit
A bit overpriced in my opinion!
Read moreI was happy that they at least had a website where you could have a look at the menu and the prices before going there! However, it turned out that they haven’t updated the menu! The prices are even higher (minimum 2k-4K more) and they removed some food from their new menu!
I am also not sure what I should think about the fact that their dumplings are store-bought (you can see the packages in their freezer and can buy them at Costco)!
The dumplings still taste very good but knowing that they sell 4 piece for 6k and you can get a bag of about 28pcs for approximately 8k… (found them for 7.8k in a small shop) well 🤷🏼♀️
My friends wanted me to bring them the large sweet and spicy chicken, which tastes amazing and we really loved it! However, we were all shocked when we saw the price! In our opinion 18k is not a reasonable price! Especially when I keep in mind that I can buy the same kind of mock chicken with a sweet and sour spicy sauce in store for only around 5.3k!! It obviously tastes different and you have to cook it yourself, but the cooking part is done in max 10mins and I’d say it is the same amount of chicken as the one for 18k in the restaurant! And it tastes amazing as well!
So all in all, the 2 items we tried did taste really good but in our opinion it is a bit overpriced! But still a great option if you want to go out for 100% vegan food!

Lots of options - Edit
Out of all the delicious dishes they offer I ordered a ricecake fishcakesoup which I did not enjoy that much. Sadly I wanted to try something new. Portion was enormous and too much for one person. But the lady serving ist really welcoming and nice, to foreigners she might come off harsh when she speaks Korean (doesnt speak English), but she's only saying the nicest things. There were only tourists eating there.

No more taking off shoes and sitting on the floor. They’ve renovated and now you get tables and can order of tablets! Food is always great. You’re supporting a great cause, because they also provide food to the homeless once a week. They’re closed every Thursday I believe.
Read moreThe only con we have is that the bathroom could be updated. It’s not a big deal to us, but we do have a very sensitive child who has a hard time with different bathrooms. Still worth going however!
Pros: Helps homeless, Great food

The best and reliable vegan place in Korea, imo - Edit
This is still the best vegan place in Seoul/Korea for many years while many places popped up and disappeared or you'd not be sure if they're open. It is the only place you can find veganized versions of many traditionally Korean food. You wouldn't have to be worried once in there. The choice is great. Side dish ample. Take away shelves with secial vegan items to use at home.

Very underwhelming - Edit
The venue is seriously lacking ambiance - weird, untidy, messy, no music. Also only tourists eating here. I feel like when I visited this place in 2019 the crowd was more balanced.
Read moreI personally find the menu too processed and I felt they do not provide any vegetables to balance the dishes. Food is also rather unhealthy, lots of fried options and the fresh side dishes they provide are of low quality etc.
The vegetable and kimchi dumplings are fairly tasty though.
All in all, this is a rather underwhelming experience.

Good food - Edit
I’ve been wanting to go here since last year! Everything is labeled in details (and english as well). Food is nice, but I think the portion for the fried chicken was a bit small. There are actually a lot of people eating here, so you might wait a bit before you can eat. The restaurant is literally in Insadong.

Nice homely food near the temple, the place has a slightly cult-like vibe to it but not overbearing. The food was wholesome and nutritious, and will definitely consider stopping by again if I'm in the area.

Overhyped - Edit
I was really excited to visit this place but wasn't what I was expecting. There was no music and the atmosphere didn't feel very inviting. I was served the wrong dishes which was fixed a couple of minutes after, but the food had started to get cold by then. Unfortunately I also had to hear the arguing in the kitchen about the mixed up order which was uncomfortable. The ttekbokki was nice and spicy though, and the tea was also tasty.

Great food but bad service and weird atmosphere… - Edit
The food was amazing ! We went there twice and had a bit of everything : vegetables dumplings, fake bulgogi, vegan jajangmyeon noodles and fake fried chicken. However, a particularly angry ajumma made our experience there quite unpleasant both times. They were also three big TV promoting “the supreme master” which felt a bit funny and weird.

The 3 ladies who worked there was very nice and cute, the meal servings was big, especially for the noodles. It's was just right for the rice meals. This restaurant is all vegan and they have this sign about with or without FPH which means with or without onions, garlic, green onions and chives.
