More GF and non-meaty options needed - Edit
I used to visit Offbeet in Wickham regularly and loved the menu as it focussed on how brilliant vegan food is by truly celebrating fruit and vegetables for what they are. The whole menu used to be gluten free but in Southsea there are only 2 options on the menu with some brownies on the counter. The new offerings mainly try to be fake meat or similar and it puts me off ordering them. I’d love to see Offbeet go back to their roots. Cake and coffee until then please.

No, all 100% vegan, just very clever. I've no idea how they make them.

Creative and delicious! - Edit
We visited while on a weekend away, originally just planning on stopping by for a coffee and cake. Once we saw the full menu it looked so nice that we decided to try a couple of the brunch dishes first. Both were just so interesting and full of flavour - keep thinking of them now, two days later and will definitely have to go back as soon as we can! (Too full for cake after but bought several to take home and share with family later - can confirm all were also delicious!)

The best!! - Edit
I have followed Offbeet for a number years at a number of different locations, and I will continue to do so! Their newest location is stunning, and full of amazing food as per usual. We got the to’fish tacos and new forest mushroom French toast. The staff are all lovely and welcoming, and you need to stop by even if it’s just for a cake! You won’t regret it.

Worth the ££ - Edit
It's pricey because it's real food, fresh, good ingredients and all make from scratch. I couldn't go often but it is ver much worth every penny.
Read moreMy mushroom french toast was creamy and delicious, but next time I'll have it on sourdough, as I needed some crunch texture rather than all sorts, but my friend loved the French toast - it's good you get the option.
My partner had the Indian pancake and loved it. It was filled and topped with tasty vegetables and nicely spiced. There was plenty in all our portions, very filling. We finished with a shared orange and chocolate brownie and coffee. Vegan brownies ones are sometimes dense and heavy , but this was light and fresh.
Their coffee is delicious.
There's a help yourself water tap to the side of the counter but the glasses are tiny, more like shot glasses so you either keep going for a top up or ask for a bigger glass. The staff seem to be getting used to this so I'm guessing alot of people ask.
All in all pricey, but great value for the quality of the ingredients and cooking expertise that you get.
Welcome to Southsea Offbeet. We're very happy to have you here.

Fantastic Vegan cafe in Southsea. Welcoming atmosphere with beautiful aesthetic interior. Staff were really helpful when it came to allergies and double checked everything. I had the Lemon Crumble Cake with an iced coffee which was incredible on a summers day. Wish I lived closer so I could try the whole menu - highly recommend!

Lovely little vegan cafe - Edit
We have been looking forward to this place opening for a while now. We have been to Offbeet in the New Forest which is excellent. This too is beautifully decorated, the menu is quite small but with a variety of different and unusual dishes. It is dog friendly. It is a shame that you can't book in advance and that table service isn't available as it is at other local cafes. The food was excellent although it is a little bit more expensive than other local cafes. We will definitely be back.
