Vegan-Friendly Bakery - Edit
European-style bakery newly opened in February 2024. Happened to chance upon it at the entrance of Jeju’s Dongmun Traditional market! If I understood correctly, the lady boss lived overseas, hence she speaks English and has a more Western-style concept. The bakes are mostly vegan as they are ciabatta and sourdough etc, except selected flavours with cream cheese. (Would love to see vegan cream cheese available in the future!) Some bakes also feature Jeju’s local produce. Vegan items include Pain de Campagne, Rusk, Basalt Bread, Jeju Hiziki Bread, Tomato Rosemary Bread, etc. Fresh bakes are out of the oven at around 10.30am. The cafe has a beautiful table centrepiece displaying the bread choices available, and after placing your order, new clean bakes are retrieved from the kitchen. There are also a few seats available for dining-in, though the bakery seems to be operating on more of a takeaway concept. There is a small drinks menu, though I’m not sure if vegan milk alternatives are available.
