Pretty good!!!

Came here when visiting my sister and they have a variety of options for vegan and non vegan! So it was a great place to go with my family! Their tamales were so fresh!! And their margaritas were also awesome! They did have an upstairs with a cool view as well!

Pros: Vegan labeled options

Good Mexican Restaurant

Only a few Vegan options but all are good. Make sure to let your server know that you want it vegan so there is no confusion since some options can be prepared vegan or not vegan.

Pros: Cactus tacos

Mediocre Mexican w/ vegan options

Mexican restaurant located in uptown Sedona.

Food***
We ordered the grilled cactus and the veggie burrito. The grilled cactus was pretty good and our first time having one—it’s tastes like a mix between asparagus and brussel sprouts. The burrito was not so great and neither were the chips they served. The food was moderate though and fine for what it is.

Atmosphere****
Very nice rooftop space with beautiful views of Sedona. I highly recommend the outdoor space weather permitting. The indoor space is nice as well but nothing compared. There’s parking in the back of the restaurant. If you’re staying in town it’s walkable.

Service***
Friendly and with a smile. Nothing above and beyond the ordinary and not bad either.

Price$$
Moderately priced but that’s what to expect in uptown Sedona.

Not vegan friendly

Bean burrito for $16 is one of two vegan options. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Good vegan Mexican!

We chose this restaurant while we were visiting uptown Sedona (the touristy area). There is indoor and outdoor seating with a nice patio and great view. We chose to sit inside because it was hot! The menu has vegan items noted, and it was easy to order items without having to list modifications (as long as the server knows you want the vegan version). Our 3 vegan family members ordered the Oaxaca burro and the cactus tacos. The burrito was huge and contained black beans, rice, avocado, onion, tomato and corn salsa. It can be ordered with enchilada sauce or green salsa. Only the green salsa is vegan though. The cactus tacos were amazing! None of us had ever had cactus and were excited to try it. The cactus was seasoned beautifully. We ordered soft taco shells but hard are also available. They are served with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and cilantro. Beans and rice come on the side (both are very good). The tacos are made vegan by leaving off the jalapeño avocado crema and Cotija cheese. They did seem to be missing a sauce to tie all the ingredients together, but were still very good on their own. There is one other vegan entree we didn’t try (blue corn vegetable tamales with green sauce), but we may go back later to try this. There is also a cactus appetizer that is vegan as is. One downside is that the guacamole has sour cream in it. It is also served with grated cheese, tomato, and black olives on it. While our vegan family members didn’t eat it, our 2 vegetarian children thought it was excellent. There is also a veggie burger which the children ate and liked. I didn’t ask if it was vegan since they are vegetarian.

Pros: Vegan options clearly marked on menu, Good service , Cactus tacos!

Cons: Sour cream in guacamole , Fairly expensive (but normal for area)

A Vegan Surprise in Sedona

We looked for vegan Mexican options in Sedona and couldn’t find many. This place wasn’t listed on Happy Cow and only received lukewarm reviews. However, upon reading a vegan travel blogger’s recommendations, we decided to give it a shot. Located on the main Uptown Sedona drag, this place has a phenomenal covered patio view to the red rocks. The staff are friendly and efficient, and our waiter had a clear understanding of vegan needs. We loved the giant burritos (Oaxaca Burros) we ordered and would like to return for cactus tacos or vegan enchiladas. Beware—the guacamole contains sour cream! The menu has red sauce listed as not vegan, but as of now (July 2021), the sauce is made with vegetable broth and no longer made with meat stock. Seriously, the portions are huge and fresh here. I hope this review helps you have a filling Mexican meal in Sedona!

Pros: Marked vegan options, Gorgeous view, Friendly and knowledgeable staff
