Good attention to Veganism and great service - Edit
We were staying in the rooms above and after checking they had something vegan on the menus (burgers) we decided it was easiest to eat there. What was great was that once we were seated, the manager came over and explained that there was something that used to be on the menu called “Celebration Vegetables” is something the chef could also make. It was good that they had taken the time to pay attention to the comment about us being vegans on my online booking and pro-actively engaged to ensure we had a good experience. We had bread and olives to start & sweet potato croquettes. Then we shared a vegan burger with skin on fries and the celebration vegetables. Personally, I thought the Celebration vegetables worked well as a share along with the burger, but I could have eaten them on their own. Celebration vegetables on their own although this might not be to everyone’s taste. Celebration vegetables were really nice with roasted parsnip, carrot, leeks, kale etc. also had great service throughout the evening.

Basic - Edit
Been here a couple of times. There is not a lot of options and the food is basic and bland.

Mid Week light lunch - Edit
Had a light lunch of a mix of their starters with partner. Several options listed as Vegan alternative available in them. What we had was nice, staff were very friendly with good service.

Expensive mediocre - Edit
Clearly based on the nearby and highly successful ‘four London road’ the refurbishment of the old wellington pub looks smart and is preferable to the demolition that was proposed. Staff declined my request for the separate vegan menu pointing out that the vegan options are marked on the main menu. Then brought me some butter to go with my bread which did little for my faith in their understanding. Food was good but is expensive compared to the more established competition located nearby in Horndean. This was recently opened when I tried eating there so may give it another chance later on.

Cons: Expensive , View of waterlooville whilst eating!
