Would give 5 stars if I could - Edit
Super cheap and delicious food. I just got the tofu with garlic and brown rice. I've had some really gross tofu while in Asia (surprisingly) but this place has really good tofu. Lots of veggie options

Should be $$... A bit pricey! - Edit
Tasty food, mostly Indian and a little Thai. I think Happy Cow should list this place with two '$$' signs as it is a little bit pricey.

Brilliant restaurant - Edit
My two favourite kitchens combined: Indian and Thai. Great flavours, a very big menu (you can eat here 20 times and try something new each time), cheap prices too.

Simple but good - Edit
Small restaurant located close to busy Khao San Road. Have a large vegetarian menu and can make a lot of things vegan on request. It has a simple setup but people are very friendly and the food was tasty.

Great place! - Edit
Very simple, doesn't look very nice but the workers are nice and the food is amazing. Lots of vegan and vegetarian food. Takes some time because they start making after you order, but the food is fresh!

This is a simple little cafe tucked away on the back street. During my time in Bangkok I’ve popped into this place a number of times and have never been disappointed. Both the Indian and thai food is tasty. The staff are lovely.

Not 100% vegy - Edit
Silly name but good cheap food. Had the fried Chinese kale and tofu with rice and the portion was HUGE. my partner had the dhal soup which was very flavourful. Out of the three restaurants on this back street that do vegy food, my favourite meal and cheap meal was here.

Tasty, huge portions - Edit
Although the name of this place is misleading (it is a meat restaurant as well), they do have many vegetarian options and seem to have a good understanding of veganism. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was the largest portion I have had in Thailand. It also tasted fantastic! The price was maybe 60 baht or so? I can’t remember, but it was great value for money. They also serve Indian food, however it is about double the price of the Thai food.

Renovated - Edit
Update:
Read moreSadly, this place has been renovated and prices up by 50%.
But food was good and portions a decent size and still the cheapest option in this area for an evening meal. There are two or three pure veg places nearby, but I consider all of them pricey.
They have a good number of vegetarian options, but i dont know if their understanding extends to cooking it separately from meat and don't dare ask!
Pros: Tasty food, Decent portion size
Cons: Serves meat, Prices up

Nice place - cheap and tasty food - Edit
The staff are very proud to serve “fresh food” that has not been made in advance. Accordingly it takes a bit of time before you get your food, but it is very nice! We had some thai curries and I’d definitely recommend the tofu curry with vegetables.

Cheap and delicious variety - Edit
Despite not being the fanciest of the restaurants around, Number one has lots and lots of vegetarian choices, even curries and soups that are usually hard to find in the vegetarian version.
Read moreWe had pineapple fried rice and a mushroom omelette with rice (they use red rice) that were nice but we personally enjoyed the curry, the sour tom kha soup, the pad see ew and the vegetables with tofu, cashew and noodle (basically sweet snd sour veggies like onion, tomato and capsicum on pad thai style noodles that reminded us of Italian tomato pasta! XD) much more.
You can order steamed white or brown rice both for 10 bath.
Not so fond of their deep fried dishes - like some pretty tasteless and small bananas and spring rolls.
Their pineapple, mango and watermelon juices were a bit watery but ok for the price (35 baht), just stay clear of the orange and lemon shake which tastes more like artificial stuff than fresh fruit.
I still give them the maximum rating because they offer the biggest variety of vegetarian food we found in Thailand, most of their dishes are very tasty and traditional and they're cheap. After all we ate here three times and were never really disappointed ;)
Pros: Cheap and huge variety, Traditional, Big portions!!
Cons: Watery juices (but cheap), Bland spring rolls and bananas, Not the friendliest staff
