Great food! - Edit
Everything was so great! The chikin platter of battered fried mushrooms, mac n cheese, and kale was amazing and quite chicken-like in texture, the sweet potatoes were perfectly crispy, the pizza was loaded with yummy toppings, the seaweed salad was delicious, and the strawberry shortcake was great too. 5/5

Fried Chick-un for the win! - Edit
Walked up to the market and stopped in for an early dinner. Long story short; I’ll fight you for their fried chic-un! Great flavor. Cool vibe in the store. We’ll be back.

Good first impression - Edit
Stopped in spontaneously. Decent size menu. I learned Sour sop fruit is a thing and they have juice which tastes pretty good. I got the unchicken sandwich made of enochi mushroom. Yummy. I recommend trying. But to warn you there is a shop that kills and sells live chickens on the same street. Very sad.

Excellent Cheesesteak! - Edit
The second stop on the vegan cheesesteak tour is an excellent one! The seitan here has lovely texture; it’s tender, not too chewy, and has savory flavor of its own.
Read moreThe onions, peppers, and mushrooms are sautéed well with just a bit of crunch in them.
The cheese is delightfully gooey and tasty. The whole wheat roll has nice flavor but could be toasted more.
The portion is quite generous! Half a sandwich is equal to a whole sandwich at The Tasty, and this one’s less expensive…

Great side dishes - Edit
This is a nice place to get vegan options of Caribbean and soul food. I got the vegan chicken platter (with mac & cheese and sautéed kale) and the divine dish large (my choices were veggie black rice, vegan oxtail, jerk veggie steak, curry plantain, and ginger zucchini). Unlike many people’s opinions, I thought the chicken was just ok, and I didn’t care for the vegan oxtail or the jerk veggie steak. However, the sides were wonderful. If I go back, I would order all sides for the divine dish and pass over any meat substitutes. The best was the curry plantain. I wish I had ordered multiples of that. The flavor was perfect. I also recommend the ginger zucchini.

Cons: Meat substitutes weren’t that good

Tasty food/Mixed Atmosphere - Edit
Pros: A pretty and atmospheric location. Dine-in available. Really unique and flavorful breakfast burrito.
Read moreCons: General concerns around Covid safety: not all staff wearing masks properly (if at all); when it gets busy, lots of people crowded around main counter ordering and picking up food (no social distancing encouraged) and sometimes lots of people dining in.
I recommend ordering in advance to reduce time spent indoors ordering, waiting for order, and picking up from the far side of a potentially crowded ordering area if you are at all Covid-conscious.
Pros: Atmosphere, Flavors, Nice portion
Cons: Weird vibe sometimes, Flauting of Covid protocols

Best pizza ever! - Edit
Just happened to spot this place while walking and decided to pop in for a snack. Ordered the pizza to share and my husband (not vegan) and I were totally blown away. There were so many wonderful elements—served piping hot with light melted cheese, fresh pesto, veggies, avo etc. surprising combinations that worked perfectly. The owner was delightful. Service was fantastic.

Some of the best food in Philly. I'm always down for the vegan fried chicken platter.

Ive had a few different smoothies here and I really like them all. Otherwise I’ve inly tried their fried chicken sandwich and one of their salads. Both were good, but nothing crazy.

Outstanding in every way - Edit
Vegan Jamaican soul food. It's flavorful, healthy, and made with love. The staff are friendly and wonderful. They have a nice variety of wraps, sandwiches, entrees, juices, smoothies, baked goods, soup, and desserts made in-house (all vegan). There is one item on the menu that is non-vegan, the Pure Pesto Pizza, and it is clearly labelled as non-vegan. They also sell some natural health supplements and soaps and toothpaste and stuff like that. This place is really quite special and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Philly.

Great omelette and juice. - Edit
Had the vegan omelette platter and the daily greens juice. Both were great! They opened in January just in time for the pandemic, but they said they've been busy and I can understand why. I'll definitely go back to try their sandwiches and pizza.
