Los mejores helados - Edit
El helado de turrón es brutal, orgásmico 😄. La porción no está mal en comparación con otras heladerías con opciones veganas.

Delicious ice creams - Edit
Continuing my tour of the ice cream shops of Northern Spain, this was a very good one! It’s rare to be spoilt for choice for vegan ice cream (I don’t like fruit sorbets) but it was hard to choose here. In the end I had dark chocolate with hazelnuts and fudge - they were delicious. Strong contenders were also custard and hazelnut.

Delicious ice cream - Edit
We had three of the sugar-free vegan flavours: hazelnut, leche de merengada and turrón. All were yummy (especially the leche one). They’re definitely on the very sweet side, even though they are sugar-free. There are also vegan options with sugar. Portions are generous - the smallest cup is already quite big and can be filled with two different flavours.

Real ice cream finally! - Edit
This store has wonderful delicious and creamy options that are vegan. Their sorbet style options are not bad at all( the mojito one was perfect). But it makes is specially happy to see creamy vegan options like bombón Roche, leche merengada, various chocolate options, vanilla, turrón...

Tasty vegan milk flavours and sorbet - Edit
We randomly stumbled in this gelateria on our way home and couldn't resist. Staff was super friendly (!) and let us taste various flavors. Besides classical fruit sorbets, they've special sorbets as "Mojito" or "mandarin & gin" and also different vegan chocolat flavours (choco, Rocher, ..) and Vanilla. Everything clearly labeled.

Pros: Very friendly staff, You can try different flavours beforehand, Vegan choices clearly labeled

Tasty ice cream across the river from the Opera - Edit
When we arrived there was a not long not short queue out of the venue but moved quickly.
Read moreThey did not have many of the vegan flavours they advertised on the signs.
I had hazelnut and coconut and both were very tasty!
However, it is pretty expensive. So it is worth it if you don't have another choice around.
Cons: Expensive

They don´t try hard enough - Edit
A few summers ago I was thrilled to find their vegan ice cream, initially made of rice milk, and now soya-based. The fact of the matter is that, while some flavours are yummy (hazelnut or leche merengada) others seem fake (mint, vanilla). In addition, sometimes they have flavours without signs that staff don't even know what they are, what's up with that? Cones may or many not be vegan these days, as they contain "edible fat" (whatever that may be), and sometimes they will have some odd flavour among the soya-based ones, such as flan de huevo... which you may logically think contains egg (huevo means egg), yet staff are clueless and it's not like you can get in touch with management by means of an e-mail.
Read moreOh yeah, and when it comes to filling their containers they´re sloppy at best, it's not unusual to see a big mess by the edges and often all over the place.. This doesn't feel hygienic.
All in all, a suitable place for a not-too-demanding vegan.
Update July 2022: I visited them just a couple of days ago. On this occasion staff were quick to point out what flavours were vegan (maybe 8 or so, sorbets included), and did so in an assertive way. They also verified that the cones are indeed vegan. To sum up, I got the impression they had finally got their act together when it comes to vegan options, and so I'm happy to give them a higher rating.

No vegan cornet, but 5 vegan flavours (plus sorbets) - Edit
We went here to have dessert after pintxos. Cones are not vegan, but staff was very friendly and pointed out five vegan ice-cream flavours (dark chocolate, hazelnut, coconut, caramel and something else). We chose caramel and coconut and paid 3,85 €. Not the best vegan ice-cream we ever had, but definitely recommendable.

Vegan ice creams!! - Edit
It is not easy to find a vegan ice cream in Spain, so I was soo lucky to get into this place. Although almost every ice cream is not vegan it has some flavours made with soy milk. And they are quite good!

I don't recommand it - Edit
I went there twice. The first time, the server did'nt know what was lactose-free ice creams and if they had some. After a long time talking, an other server came and explained to us which ice cream were dairy-free. They had two ice creams and two sorbets (other sorbets were made with milk!!!).
Read moreThe second day, they had only a chocolate flavour, no other dairy-free ice cream, no dairy-free sorbet. And the chocolate flavour was almost empty.
The two times, servers were not very polites or nice. They had a panel at the door, making publicity for dairy free ice creams but: or they didn't know which ones were concerned; or they didn't have some.
That is false publicity for me!
Pros: Sometimes dairy-free ice creams
Cons: Not always dairy-free ice cream, False publicity, Servers ignorants and not polites
