Superlative cocktails, excellent food

Clearly labelled vegan items, modifications easy, knowledgeable staff. Come for the considered, yummy vegan fare - esp the delicious mushroom dip - but stay and stay longer for the thoughtful, expert cocktails. Truly brilliant drinks here. The cocktail menu is superb. But the magic is in the mixologists. No kidding: Ben the bartender is a true craftsman, and this is a destination cocktail bar. Worth the trip to P Town for the martini. Don’t miss it.

Revisited May 31, 2024. Even better cocktails? It doesn’t seem possible, but it’s true. Vegan options still superb. Staff are well informed about vegan options and everything else. Get the gigante beans to
accompany your tipple.

Good options

My wife and I are vegan. She is also gluten free, which is challenging. This restaurant had two small plates (mushroom dip and white bean dip), two salads, and a main that were all vegan and GF optional. Very well labeled menu. Great cocktails too.

Disappointed

Different menu than what we saw but decided to try it anyway based on previous reviews. We asked about vegan options and the server was pretty dismissive.

Pros: Nice setting , Good selection of drinks

Cons: No vegan options on seasonal menu (Autumn), No interest in making anything vegan off-menu

Consistently Excellent Food

Nor'East is such a pleasure to visit. Previously called the Beer Garden, the small restaurant offers tasteful vegan and vegetarian options in addition to meat-based meals. The avocado poke and baby bok choi appetizers are seasoned to perfection. The avocado tacos, as my main course, with added tofu were delicious. Every time I visit Nor'East I am pleasantly surprised at how tasty and delectable each dish is.
