Amazing vegan food in Tangier - Edit
Initially it looked like there weren't many vegan options but once the helpful waiter explained and recommended we ended up with the most amazing dishes one can hope for. I was so impressed with the fact that the waiter knew what option meant and I didn't have to explain, something I usually have to do.

Tasty veg options - Edit
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hand-painted patterns on the tables and cushy seats. The food is also artfully presented. Before our dinner we were presented with three cups of stewed veggies (spinach, peppers and smokey eggplant) paired with whole-grain bread. We especially liked the eggplant. We enjoyed a plate full of what our waiter called samosas which were stuffed with veggies and ginger and paired with tangy sauce. We also had braised tomatoes with eggplant (yes, more eggplant, and yes, it was delicious) along with sweet potatoes au gratin. The potatoes were a tad too sweet, but with everything else we were quite pleased.

Best option for veg*ns we found in Tangier - Edit
The Nord-Pinus Tanger is a boutique hotel in the Kasbah area of Tangier. Their restaurant and rooftop terrace bar are worth visiting even just for a drink, as the views are outstanding.
Read moreFortunately for those with an appetite, the food is is delicious, too, and they have daily vegetarian options which may or may not be vegan on a given day but if you specify "vegetarian with no egg, no milk products and no honey," that should do the trick.
I had a gourmet Vietnamese-style spring roll appetizer that was done to perfection, followed by a vegetable tagine that was the best I'd had anywhere.
Prices were on a par with France (total about 25 Euros per person, all inclusive), which is reasonable considering the quality of both the food and the experience.
Service was warm, graceful, and semi-casual, like fine dining at the home of a friend who happens to be a princess...
Enjoy!
Pros: Reasonably veg*n friendly, Delicious food, Great views
Cons: Serves meat
