Do not understand vegan - Edit
I was mislead by below comment ‘understand vegan’ as the staff definitely do not. I do not trust the menu items labelled ‘vegan’ I don’t think they know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. I had to unfortunately send back the burger twice as cheese and sauce were put on. It wasn’t great. Came back again thinking it was a one off and ordered much more safely, however again the service was pretty bad for me and other tables. Vegetarians will be fine coming here and only western food place in Hue

Nice place - Edit
A few vegan options in the menu but they are good generally. I had steamed banana with coconut milk and a drink made from munk bean, greens and coconut milk. The price is reasonable. Only one floor but nice.

New location - Edit
After arriving at the location listed, we saw a sign which gave us a new address 200m walk away. This is 3 Luong The Vinh Street. Waiting staff spoke little English but the manager was able to explain ingredients when checking the vegan food. The food was tasty and we will be going back for breakfast.

Pros: Food listed with a V for vegan, Lovely decor inside, Changes can be made to make things vegan

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere - Edit
We really loved this place! The food is really delicious, vegan options are clearly marked, serving sizes are good (which is why we don't really see that it's that expensive), the place is pretty stylishly decorated and we liked that they try to minimize their ecological footprint (for example by not using plastic straws).

Not many vegan options but delicious food - Edit
We went there for breakfast and coffee and one of the only vegan options was a green smoothie bowl which was really good. I also had the coconut iced coffee which was amazing and I can highly recommend it. Another day I had the tapioca banana cake which was also delicious. The vegan options are not really clearly marked in the menu, for example only one of the smoothie bowls had the little V which was confusing. The staff didn’t really speak or understand English well and when I double checked about things being vegan they thought vegan is an allergen like peanuts and asked if I can eat that. Moreover, it is quite pricy so only 4 stars.

Small portions and expensive. - Edit
Small portions and expensive meals. They even charge for filtered tap water too. With the vast amount of vegan places in Huế you have many more better options.

The burger patty is made in house using imported ingredients and locally sourced hand picked vegetables. All care is taken to prepare your burger 100% vegan as the local and western owner of the business understand the process. There is a cost associated with doing this. You are provided great service in a friendly and clean restaurant. Vietnamese people do not drink water from the tap. We use bottled water the same you buy in a shop yet we purchase it in bulk and serve it in glass bottles to reduce the impact of plastic waste . That positive approach is clearly lost on this customer along with the great service and atmosphere provided by our lovely staff. The focus is entirely on cost and not what has actually gone into providing great food . This customer was offered to fill all of thier water bottles free of charge when leaving but makes no mention of that .

Pas mal mais... - Edit

Order with no cheese to make vegan! Falls apart a little as veggie burgers do but it was SO yummy. The roasted potatoes as a side were also very yummy.

We ate our lunch here whilst stay in Hue. The restaurant has a nice flair and a great offer of fresh juices, smoothies and vegan breakfast/lunch/dinner. We both got the chickpea and tempeh claypot and were really happy with our choice. The prices are fair, we would definetly come again!

Beautiful setting, tasty smoothiebowls! - Edit
Nook café and bar is situated in a small alley so it is more quiet and relaxed. The interior and terrace upstairs are beautifuly decorated and it is really cosy to spend some time. Staff is very attentive and polite. Went there twice. Smoothie bowls look and taste awesome! They actively make efforts to reduce their foorprint. Water for example is tap filtered water that comes in a glass bottle, really nice. They also don't use straws.

Delicious food - ate here twice in one day. - Edit
After a few hit and miss experiences at other local eateries, my partner and I cycled along to Nook and were not disappointed in the slightest. We ate here for breakfast - veggie breakfast and amazing mango smoothie bowl - and again for dinner - veggie burger and tempeh curry with squash and peanuts. The curry has been one of the best dishes I've had so far in Vietnam. I was reluctant to eat here because I wanted "authentic" Vietnamese food during all of our travels, but it really is worth coming. My partner said his burger did fall completely apart when eating, but it was otherwise delicious. The lady who served us in the morning (the owner?) didn't seem particularly friendly and didn't smile once at us, but the girls who served us in the evening were a delight and entirely made up for that. The interior was quirky and beautiful, the music great, and we loved that they make a note not to provide plastic straws (stainless steels available on request and for purchase). All vegan options are marked.

Nice smoothie bowls - Edit
The smoothie bowls were really tasty. However I don’t feel they quite get the concept of vegan. A breakfast was labelled vegan but had eggs? I replaced for tofu which was no problem, but don’t feel they understand veganism.

Boring - Edit
The vegan burger was boring. I read about mayonaise here, but it was not written in the menu, so while ordering I said my burger should be without sauce and cheese.
Read moreThey obviously forgot the avocado (my girlfriend had it on the vegetarian burger) and the patty scrambled in thousand pieces as I was taking the first bite. The overall taste was just boring (1 star for the mass usage of garlic though).
So concerning the other reviews, my burger was an accident but for now, I can't rate it better.

Beautiful decor and attentive staff - Edit
My boyfriend and I visited here for lunch after viewing the Citadel (Nook is less than 20 mins walk from the Citadel exit).
Read morePlenty of choice for vegetarians and some vegan options too. My bf had tofu pho, iced coffee, passion fruit juice and banana tapioca pudding. I had tempeh and chickpeas with pumpkin (served with rice and small salad), iced Jasmine tea and a mint choc chip ice cream. We shared some vegetarian spring rolls.
Our food arrived promptly but was made fresh (I could see the lady making it in the kitchen). It was all delicious, portions were generous and the mains/sides were piping hot. The whole meal came to about 420,000VND (just under £15) which we felt was good value for the atmosphere and the quality of the food.
Staff were attentive but not overbearing. The place was decorated nicely and everything was clean (including the bathroom). They are environmentally conscious and use metal straws and offer filtered water in glass bottles rather than plastic.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would go back if we were staying longer.
We would give this place 5/5 but HappyCow won't let us because it's not fully vegan/vegetarian
Pros: Delicious food - decent portions, Reasonably priced :), Lovely decor and attentive, polite staff
Cons: We were a bit warm but it was 38 degrees outside!

Nice variety of marked vegan options both Western and Asian. Popular with tourists. The pho was very tasty as was the coconut coffee. Staff were friendly and seemed pretty knowledgable on veganism.
