Hmmmmmm

(taste is subjective)
Ordered (A1) aglio olio. It was served luke warm, not just-off-stove-hot. Menu listed Ingredients included spaghetti, assorted mushrooms, basil, oregano and chilli
However there's no hint of basil nor oregano. Not surprised if chilli oil is tossed into pasta (that's why it's warm and not hot) They taste separate!

"Handmade mushroom fritters" not available during my order, so is (starred)Thai boba mylk tea

"Golden rings with dip" is good though, hint of fishiness that tastes like calamari. (Am certain it was readymade frozen)

Should I dine with them again?

Good food

Food here compare to taste is not salty like in SG. The pizza is just nice for 2 pax if not big eater, filling is nice. Burger and nasi lemark is normal

Amazing food, great location!

Burgers were amazing. We had the lions mane burger with truffle tartar sauce and the double chicken burgers with fried eggs. Delicious. And the passion fruit iced tea was great too. A bit pricy.

Pros: Lions mane burgers, Fried eggs were amazing!, Sesame ice cream

Stellar - Nom Nom Nom

Stellar food, stellar service, stellar boba.

The black pepper burger is a homemade ground mushroom patty and the best burger I've had since São Paulo. If not better, because I asked for chili and the champion chef put a stack of fresh chopped chilis inside.

There were QR code menus, but I didn't have to use them cuz thank the lucky stars, or simple politess, they have full size menus too.

The tapioca in the huge boba drink was soft and delicious and prolly the best one of I've ever had anywhere.

The ice cream was t1ts. Absolutely spot on. Freaking flawless! I ordered the Mongo 🤣 and Black Sesame flavors which went nicely with my fries, which were just the right shape and size as well.

I can't speak to the rest of menu, but my server says it's all good. I asked about working there and the server reported that it was a good job with good benefits which is also very satisfying to know.

Food businesses, every last one, should give comped meals, the result, happy servers that know the menu and can speak for it and promote the food. Just makes for good business to practice fair labor and generosity.

The only quality Vegan restaurant in Johor

Excellent food, ambience and services. Highly recommend the Vietnamese pho that even vietnamese friends loved it. Also the hainanese chickless rice and nasi lemak with vegan egg.

Good but not great

We came here twice whilst staying in JB. The waffle with ice cream, burgers and bubble teas were very good. The pizza and pasta were disappointing. Service could be better as it was a bit slow and staff weren’t that friendly. Food was expensive. The decor is nice and comfortable

Only vegan restaurant in Johor Bahru city

We are big fans of Nom v Nom in Singapore so when we knew we were relocating to JB and saw they were about to open a new outlet there we were very excited. Less than 48 hours after arriving in our new home we headed there for burgers. Having a selection of vegan burgers available in a vegan restaurant is exciting for sure, so we ordered a couple to share. Disappointingly they were good but not great 😞 as the French fries tasted of oil (maybe the oil wasn’t hot enough when they were cooked?), the burger buns didn’t seem fresh (the ones in Singapore were far better) and the pineapple in our ‘chicken’ burger seemed to be from a tin. The burger patties were good as was the truffle mayo on the lions mane mushroom burger, and the overall vibe / style of this modern and stylish restaurant was totally on point. We also loved that there were so many other options from pizzas and waffles, to nasi lemak (with vegan fried egg) and ramen bowls. Hopefully we were just unlucky as we want nom v nom to be super successful in JB and see them expand throughout Malaysia. If you’re in the area you should visit for sure as they are fully committed to creating delicious vegan and plant based food. Let’s hope on our next visit we can change our rating from four ⭐️ to five ⭐️

Great vegan cafe!

I love NomvNom in Singapore and the one in JB is really nice - so many interesting dishes in Asian fusion style.
The drinks and mocktails are great too . And don’t forget the MSW durian ice cream and other flavours.

Pros: Food, Drinks, Ambiance

Cons: None

Super delicious food

I’m glad I don’t live here or else I’d get fat from coming here everyday. I’m normally scared of well-funded restaurants with multiple locations because their food isn’t as good as mom-and-pop shops but wow these nuggets were incredible! The satay burger was simple yet delicious too!

Cons: a bit expensive
