Super tasty food and love family vibe!

This is a reall charming small family Run Restaurant which serves a range of vegan/vegetarian curries with rice and some fried rice/noodle dishes. The portions were a bit small for our taste, but for others they May be just right. And the prices were really decent, so we were happy:)

Curry and rice

Friendly family restaurant - ordered veg curry and rice, came to rs450. Wasn’t mind blowing, but a solid lunch spot close to the lake (5 min uphill walk)

Good cheap eats on hotel side of lake

One of the few restaurants not attached to a hotel on the hill side of Kandy Lake.

Very simple menu: Kotthu, noodles, fried rice, rice and curry. No deserts or starters or what not.

Had the rice and 4 vegetable curries twice, some of the dishes were different, some the same. Never noticed any fish sauce in any of them.

Owners are nice but didn't try to have an indepth conversation with them.

Meals run 300-450 and juices are 200LKR
Definitely had the same meal for less in other parts of the country but the hotels next door will charge tourist prices of double for the same thing.

They do seem to close between breakfast and lunch but no idea when, nothing posted, but they told me they open at 7am for breakfast and they closed the door to new people when I was there at 9pm hence the times listed.

Pros: Cheap (for Kandy), solid Sri Lankan food, On the Hotel side of the Lake!, fresh juice

Cons: limited menu, not 100% clear on hours, walk from lake is uphill
