One of the best, if not the best - Edit
I'm thankful that we still have a vegetarian outlet dedicated to fried kueh teow & decent vege fried carrot cake. Let's not forget the stall owner's effort in creating the veg version of "crispy fried lard" which is an absolute must have in char kueh teow and which makes all the difference!
Read moreDo note that by default (a) the fried noodles comes with egg, so do inform them if you'd like to have the vegan version without egg & (b) the dark char kueh teow (original) contains chilli (in the sauce). The white char kueh teow does not contain chilli & is good too.

Nice! - Edit
Went there for my hokkien mee fix. The store has introduced white and black carrot cake as new menu items. Prefer the traditional hokkien mee over the ‘3in1’ which is a combo of yellow noodles, bee hoon and kway teow.

Nothing vegan - Edit
I made a special trip to this place based on pics of a printed portable menu shown on HappyCow that has vegan dishes marked. No such printed menu exists at this place. Also, the lady serving said nothing they offer is vegan friendly (she clearly seemed to resent being asked if anything they have is vegan friendly). Hopefully she was just having a bad day (can happen to any of us), and isn't usually like that. The only menu is the overhead menu on the wall.

Cons: Nothing vegan on offer

Hi vegankuntz
Read moreI guess the menu, which you referred to, is a photo from the old location, which is already obsolete.
At this new location, they have a new menu. I clarified with the boss, she said all items can be veganized by removing egg.
Many of my vegan friends have visited this stall at the new location and have given me good reviews. Thus, it is not true to say that there is no vegan food to offer.
I guess this is probably a case of language barrier and misunderstanding.

Hi @jimmyseah
Read moreMy review is an accurate reflection of the experience I had when I visited this venue. To reply to your response:
1) Have you checked that your friend the boss understands what vegan means? E.g., Does he check to ensure there's no egg nor dairy products used in the mock meat products that they use?
2) Has your friend the boss taken time to explain what vegan means to the lady server at this establishment?

Serious "wok-hei" business - Edit
Really no monkey business, they are serious in their "wok-hei" business, tried their char kway teow and bee hoon in gravy, both with strong wok-hei and are delicious, recommended
