Great spot, careful of ramen!!

The food is great and clearly marked as vegan. However the ramen noodles ARE MADE WITH EGG!! Be careful about that. Otherwise great vegan options!!

Good food

We enjoyed the mushroom ramen with the vegan broth. Be sure to ask for no egg to have it fully vegan. And the pad Thai was tasty too. Service was friendly and attentive.

Pros: Vegan ramen

Cons: Not a huge selection for vegetarians

🤷🏿‍♀️

The food was great, they had clearly marked vegan items on the menu, but not a large selection. I tried the side of Chinese Longbeans which came with lettuce wraps which weren't washed and had dead bugs between the leaves. For dinner I ordered the wild mushroom ramen and it was very good, but I initially had to send it back because they forgot to omit the egg (the waiter said he hadn't heard me say no egg, but he repeated it back to me at the time of my order, so...) Despite being a tasty meal and having the appetizer comped, I won't be going back.

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Too pretentious for my taste, Bugs in the unwashed lettuce wrap

Limited

Not a lot of vegan options for a full dinner. The vegan sushi rolls were tasty and the green beans, too. If only a few staples like fried rice or pad Thai could have been made vegan. :(

Great restaurant! Clearly labeled vegan food

My boyfriend and I impulsively stopped in here as we were craving veggie sushi. I was a little nervous by the only other review for this place on Happy Cow but I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I wish I could give it 5 stars instead of 4 (must be a fully vegetarian restaurant to give 5 stars apparently). They must have seen the previous review and updated their menu accordingly because everything that is vegan was clearly labeled. I had a question about a different dish that was not labeled vegan (general tsao tofu) and the waiter was very knowledgeable and explained that they did not label it vegan because it is fried in the same fryer as non vegan food. I was glad the waiter thought to mention this! I ended up ordering the ginger salad (vegan) to start and my bf and I shared the spicy edamame (vegan). We would order both again! Then we split the avocado maki (vegan) and zen maki (vegan; avocado, cucumber, asparagus, radish sprouts, and daikon). I ordered the mapo tofu for my entree and loved it. The sauce was savory and spicy but not too spicy. My boyfriend ordered the wild mushroom ramen, which is vegetarian, not vegan. He enjoyed it and had to bring half home as it was such a large serving! In all, we would go again and I’d try the other vegan entree next to see what it’s like!

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options, Satisfies vegans and omnivores alike

Asianplace in the southloop

Vegan food is not marked on the meny and you need to ask the busy staff. When we visitid the place the waiter knew only a few vegan things on the meny. Veg springrolls and veg sushi. Dont go here if your time is limited or your really hungry. I tryed the springrolls witch was a starter.

Cons: Not much vegan food , Busy staff without knowledge about veganism., No markres for vegan food on menu

Might be worth trying it again! The staff was very knowledgeable when I went today and the menu is updated with vegan options clearly labeled.
