Just okay - Edit
I hate to only give three stars but we just did not love it. We ordered the flauta plate and birria tacos. Also an order of chips and queso. Queso was not good. Tasted more like a thick lime sauce and we just couldn’t stomach it. Huge portion of chips. Loud music inside. Young child working the counter. Flautas plate had 3 crispy flautas which were tasty but very skinny. Beans and rice were small portions. Served with wooden forks on paper plates. No knives available. Birria tacos had a great textured “meat” and the consommé for dipping had a fantastic flavor. The taco shells though were not crispy; they were soggy even before we dipped them. $2 for a super tiny container of crema. This place has potential and could be great with some tweaks.

Authentic, Tasty, Vegan - Edit
This place really fills the void that has existed for a sit down Mexican food vegan restaurant in the ATX area. The environment is welcoming, the smells are great, and the food is superb. I had the birria tacos and tried my wife’s ‘beefy’ tacos. Both were spot on. My tortillas were maybe a little greasy, but that kind of comes with the territory. All of the sauces and dips that came with our meals were good, along with the retried beans. We got chips and salsa as well which were nice, particularly the salsa, albeit a touch on the small side for the amount of chips you get.

Street Tacos! - Edit
This is their brick and mortar store and I love that they offer various protein choices with all of their entrees! I got the pastor and chicharron street tacos and it was really good. I’m excited to try other proteins and their loaded fries next time.

Great soy protein options - Edit
After having several menu items I like the Al pastor tacos and birria best. This place is great for vegans but non vegans I’ve brought haven’t liked it as much and I think that’s because it’s a bit expensive ($15 for a plate of tacos), has long wait times, and could use more flavorful sauces.

Had the flauta plate and it was really good, they were very crunchy and the filling was a lot like shredded chicken.

Highly recommend the tacos here! 6-7 soy options including asada, fajitas, picadillo. Located in a food truck park with 2 other options (another taco truck and a Mediterranean place). Right around the corner from community vegan too

The Best Vegan Mexican Food - Edit
I ordered the vegan birria tacos and the flautas. I was most excited for the birria tacos because I’ve never tried those before and had seen them all over social media. They were delicious and my friends who aren’t vegan really enjoyed these tacos. They said they tasted authentic. The flautas ended up being my favorite though. They’re covered in avocado and crema but still remained crispy. They also come with a side of refried beans and rice.

Some of the best Mexican I've ever had! - Edit
I was blown away by how good this food was! Everything was full of flavor, the meats were amazing in texture and spice, the flautas weren't oily with an incredibly tasty filling, and even the refried beans were great. Really great service too. Probably one of my favorite food experiences during my week in Austin!

Delicious, consistent Tex-Mex - Edit
This spot is the absolute best for vegan Tex-Mex in Austin. I've tried most of the taco protein options, the Birria tacos and the Chalupa and all are super tasty. My favorite fillings are the cheek'n and the fajitas. Enjoy!

Fantastic all-vegan Mexican food truck - Edit
We absolutely loved the fare at this all-vegan food truck. You can make your own taco plate, which consists of four corn tortilla tacos with six protein filling choices, plus rice and beans! They also have nachos, burritos, chalupas, tostadas and more. It's in a pleasant all-vegan food truck park. Highly recommend!

The best meal I have had since going vegan. - Edit
This was my first stop after landing in Austin and my last stop on the way out. My second time back I ordered almost the entire menu! Every bite was life-changing. Lol I know that sounds dramatic, but the title of my review says it all. My (non-vegan) father is Latino, a long-time chef, and owns multiple restaurants. Needless to say, he knows good Mexican food. I wish you could have seen his face after the first bite! He was so impressed he had to go talk to the chef. And talked about Nissi the rest of my 6 day trip🤣 EAT HERE. The carne asada tacos and nachos alone are worth a flight haha

Lettuce!!!!! - Edit
There is something undeniably perfect about how good food can taste if you have lettuce and tomato in or on it. A lot of food trucks or restaurants ditch it on their sandwiches and burritos but it seriously changes the entire flavor profile. I appreciate that Nissi knows that.
