Decent Mediterranean - Edit
Nish Nush is a great Mediterranean spot with lots of really great vegan friendly options that's not just restricted to falafel and hummus either.
Read moreI ordered their Vegan Shawarma ($17) as well as their Fried Eggplants ($8). The former came out in a huge bowl when dining in and was a lot of food. The combination of spiced soy meat with the makings of a shawarma was the perfect meal for sure. However, the "fried eggplants" were more-so panfried instead of deep fried, so not quite what I expected and it was served cold. Not sure how intentional that was but I wouldn't get it again.
Service here was friendly and welcoming, letting us stay until they were closing up. I appreciated having options of dining inside or outside making it great for people watching along the streets.

Okayish, nothing special - Edit
I was here in 2019, the food was okay, I had the vegan shawarma platter which was not too bad. Prices are not too expensive.

Fabulous - Edit
The food is incredibly good. I’ve had the vegan Shawarma, the kebab sandwich and the Arais. No idea how they season the beyond beef but is incredibly flavorful. The side dish of cauliflower is also very good. Like eating a basket of really good fries. Service is fast and pleasant. Perfect place to eat on a spring evening with the doors and windows open to the street.

Falafel based fast food - Edit
Vegetarian with vegan options. A large array of pittas and salads with falafel as the base. Some Middle Eastern sides too. Quick. Dishes prepared to order. Good place for a quick meal.

3 kinds of falafel! - Edit
Would come back here if we had the chance. The falafel plate with 3 kinds of falafel was amazing and huge, and the cajun fries as well. Lemonade was tasty as well.

Great spot - Edit
I've eaten at Nish Nush many many times. It's always busy at lunch but it's usually possible to get a seat. I like the falafel a lot, the fries and halva. They have different soups depending on the day, they're great too and the limonana slushy mint lemonade is great in the summer.

Fantastic Falafel - Edit
I've been to this spot a couple of times, and I usually go for a pretty simple option: green falafel and hummus platter, a few whole wheat pitas, and their special seasoned fries. I'm never disappointed. The fries are one-of-a-kind, and the falafel exceeded my expectations.

Favorite Middle Eastern in Manhattan - Edit
Now I'm sure there are better - there are some classy restaurants in Manhattan - but this place is amazing. The bread is perfect, falafel is perfect, hummus is perfect, cauliflower is perfect, everything is perfect.
