Good food

They offer a daily buffet with tasty options. You can eat as much as you want and there's plenty to choose from.
Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Would definitely recommend this place.

An okay place

It's an okay place, I've been there myself on some occasions but it's not my favorite go-to place, there's better options in the surroundings.

Pros: lunch buffet so there's quite some choice, Price-performance is really good, friendly staff

Cons: very spicy (i know it's indian but still...), the place is not very cosy, pretty dark

Amazing food and nice atmosphere

The food is really tasty and the price is very fair. For two people the curry with vegetables was enough. Just take care about the spice. The lowest level is chili.

First time trying Indian vegan

I love Indian food, but it is usually full of dairy. The portion sizes of my takeout were enormous, and it was nice and spicy, just as I had requested. A bit oily, but I'd probably go back if I were in the area. Friendly proprietor.

A great filler

Very welcoming staff in a comfortable and relaxing environment also in a great location. Vegan lunch buffet was a great filler with the option of four curries and a few other things. Only downer for me was that drink are very expensive - a tiny bottle of Coke was extortionate

Pros: Welcoming , Decent grub, Comfortable environment

Cons: Very expensive drinks

Best Indian in a long time ♥️

This was a great restaurant! Usually they close between 3 and 5 pm, but luckily on Saturdays they are opened between, and wow was the food amazing!
Both the chickpea and eggplant (aubergine) curries were excellent, and our gluten-free friend also had a lot of options, which were all clearly marked on the menu. The staff was very attentive, and also supplied free yoghurt (coconut or soy) and rice upon request. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the city and looking for a tasty bite!!

Pros: Amazing food!, Take away and eat in available, Really friendly staff

Peaceful place; good food

Five stars because of high food quality, peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff. 5 mins walk from central train station. Authentic food, not fake. Note: All main courses and all soups contain garlic (sigh), so I had to eat the nice samosa & pancakes. All fresh.

Pros: Peace

Cons: Garlic everywhere

Indian Vegan

Good Indian vegan food with really nice staff. The place is uninspiring, if not on the down side.

Pros: Good, tasty vegan offering, Free rice and pickles, Very pleasant staff

Cons: Unkempt and in need of a nice clean, Busy road junction (sitting outside unpleasant)

Excellent food

We chose to have dinner here based on the reviews and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, we had samosas, aubergine curry and red bean curry. The atmosphere was not quite five stars but the food was great. Will definitely go back.

the best vegan food

The best food and the best service I have ever received. The owner takes much pride in his work. The quality of food is so high, and at such a low price. Delicious, classical Indian dishes for all to enjoy. If you go to one restaurant in Luxembourg, let it be this one.

Pros: delicious food , very reasonably priced , extremely friendly owner

The best vegan place in the city!

I go there regularly and, oh, how I love it! The food is delicious and I've never seen a nicer owner. The plates are affordable for the filling portions you get. It's always a pleasure to eat there!

Pros: Nice owner, Filling portions, Traditional cuisine

complete experience

A short walk from the city center this spot serves true vegan Indian in a cool relaxed atmosphere with a passionate and service-oriented owner. The Cauliflower Masala was wonderful. I asked for spicy and it came out perfectly. The portion was very generous and included basmati rice and pickles. I had a homemade Chai tea with soy milk which was decadent. I saw people getting takeout here as well. Great spot.

Pros: food, service, atmosphere, portions

Cons: no beer

Truly Exceptional

Found this on Happy Cow as well as happened to walk by on street! I‎t was meant to be. Menu is thoughtfully selected to highlight the best of Indian Cuisines. The proprietor is equally as thoughtful in his interactions with his guests. Left not only having enjoyed a lovely meal; I also left reenergized emotionally! Thank you Sanju!!!!

Amazing good adress for healthy and tasted foods

I visit regularly this cute restaurant after having discovered it in a guide for vegan a few months ago. It is now my favourite restaurant in Luxembourg. Food is so authenticc and healthy however it be so tasteful. In one visit I came with an Indian friend. She told me that the food is exactly like it was made at home by her family. Absolutely amazing the chai with soya milk.

Pros: the owners are very kind and take good care of the, the place is nice and confortable

Cons: really nothing

very good restaurant!!

The kitchen closes at 9 but my aunt and I showed up at 9:05 we had no idea we just arrived in Luxembourg and needed food. I am vegan, my aunt is not but we both enjoyed a delicious dinner. The owner was very nice and courteous, he explained they couldn't do all the meals because the kitchen was closed and some meals take long to make. I started with a mango juice, very delicious. And my aunt and I both had a samosa, they were so good. Then we had the Mixed Veggie Curry for our meal, which was fantastic. I love the subtle spice to it it was really very tasty. And we had a pot of chai tea to finish the meal. Which was incredible really. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really calming and relaxing, I loved eating here!

Pros: the food, the atmosphere

Nirvana Cafe Aptly named

This place was jammed due to big groups on Saturday night, but they acommodated me. Veggie curry was just the right heat level; Rahti was fresh. Spicy pickles and soy yogurt perfect accompaniments. Soy Lahsi was nice touch. Finished off with soy mango ice cream and chai. 27 euros for a load of delicious food; could easily fill up for 15. It's right across bridge from old city. Great choice!

Worst experience in a long time!

I was here for the first time, ordered a wrap (so-called streetfood that you can get for takeaway as well) and a Samosa (which is usually an appetizer, right?!).I just wanted to grab a bite to eat meet friends afterwards at a pub. After over 35 minutes the wrap arrived and I asked politely the owner/manager who served me when the Samosa would arrive because I was a little in a hurry. He told me that everything is freshly made and so on and that they were "not Mcdonalds". I figured that before, thank you. I ate my food, answered politely that it was good (which it was)after asking me if it was "okay". I went to pay, even gave a tip and then he told me very rudely that I had "no respect" and that he didn't want me to come again! Only because I dared to ask how much longer my food will take! That' s why unfortunately I have to give this place such a bad recommendation.

Cons: Extremely rude owner/manager!!!

Dear Julia Sabine, we are dismayed to see your above comments. Having the right to express your opinion, we would also like to give our perspective. At Nirvana cafe, alongside our beliefs in animal rights, we are also very much concerned with the respect between humans, and therefore human rights. Our waiter needed to speak to you to inform you that we would be unable to serve the correctly mentioned filling of the nirvana wrap. The waiter felt that you rudely addressed him before this explanation could even begin. We do understand that our guests can be dealing with difficulties, and therefore you may have unfortunately been in a stressed state from the beginning, but we would still wish that they maintain respect while addressing our staff. Unfortunately, in this case, we felt that your respect for the serving staff was not at our expected level. Secondly, you are correct that as a restaurant, our food can take some time to prepare as we are concerned with making fresh food. The delay, of what we believe was less than 25 minutes is of course unfortunate. However there were also a number of guests that had ordered before you and therefore we were firstly dealing with their orders. As we are a very small business, we only have one cook working in the kitchen. A second unfortunate event of your visit yesterday was that our main cook was in fact sick and therefore absent. The person who was serving you was in fact working in the kitchen also. Addressing your complaint regarding the delay, we wished to highlight that our attention to our quality of food as a restaurant is important to us, and therefore our food can take time to prepare. However you did not seem satisfied with the delay, which you again point out above. We are glad that you appreciated the quality of the food and have mentioned this above, so thank you for stating this. Lastly, when paying, the waiter made the comment, in a polite way, that seeing as you seemed dissatisfied & had shouted at the beginning, 'we suggest you don't come here as the food preparation takes time'. To this comment, you reacted aggressively, which we believe once more shows a certain disrespect towards our working ideals. The waiter then passed this comment that he believed you did not have respect for blue collared workers, as you had insulted him badly. We endeavor to treat each customer with the utmost respect, but do not tolerate guests who disrespect our workers. Regards. Nirvana team

Must go to!!

Really amazing vegan Indian restaurant. It's not expensive and the portion sizes are huge!! I highly recommend this place.
Friendly staff. If you have leftovers you can take em to go.
We had the mixed vegetable curry and the chole bathura. Both really good. As a starter we also had samosa's and veggie parkora. As dessert lemon cake that was accompanied with some really sweet soy yoghurt. So delicious!! We ordered A LOT with drinks but it only cost about 40 euro's (2 persons). Amazing.

Pros: Big portions, Lots of seating
