Great vegan Mediterranean place

I really enjoyed the rice bowl with falafel. The portion was enough to make 2 meals, the flavors were delicious, and the staff was happy to confirm it was all vegan

Delicious food, confusing menu

The menu has clearly marked vegan options, including falafel or roasted veggie platters, pitas, fry baskets, and bowls. However, many of these choices include apparently non-vegan components (yogurt, feta, etc.) and the menu is unclear about whether the entire dish is vegan or if only the protein is vegan. The menu also lists a number of vegan sides. Additionally, the menu suggests asking for vegan options. During my visit, I asked about the vegan options to see if there were off-menu options or a separate vegan menu. There weren’t, and the cashier explained that vegan options were marked as such on the menu.

I ordered the quinoa bowl with falafel and a side of grape leaves, both marked as vegan on the menu. The grape leaves were topped with a creamy sauce, which the cashier said was tzatziki and confirmed that it contained yogurt. They remade this for me without the sauce at my request, although the cashier seemed a little confused about it. In retrospect, I wonder if the sauce may have been a vegan-friendly tahini dressing and the cashier was mistaken. The food was excellent and I’ll certainly return, but I’ll ask more questions when ordering.

I’ll update this review and rating after future visits.
