Good Vegan/Vegggie Food at Nikki's Uptown Wilmington NC - Edit
Nikki's is a short (2-3 block) walk from the Market Street City Parking .They served us excellent, nutritious, flavorful vegan and vegetarian food, though probably a bit heavy on the sodium. They serve food from animals, too; the carnivores seemed happy. Very good service that helps to clarify which foods are vegetarian and vegan. The artichoke based appetizer was well-prepared with excellent texture and flavor. The Hibachie Vegetables were well-prepared with excellent texture, aroma and flavor, though probably a bit heavy on the sodium (but I was glad to get vegan/vegggie dinner on a Monday night when many Wilmington restaurants, let alone vegan/veggie restarants are closed, so I did not even ask). They had excellent unsweetened ice tea with nice fresh sliced lemon and lime I added in. Prompt and attentive service and the prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere for food and conversation...great background music is part of the experience. Enjoy yourself.

I had the veggie maki and French fries. The cucumber, avocado, asparagus rolls were my favorite. The chef and servers were very helpful and kind. I will definitely be back.

My husband and i were very happy with our food. The service was great. They had a great menu and vegan mayo. Price was fair, $20 for two meals. Excellent portion size.

I'm not sure why this place is rated low. The staff was very helpful with informing my family of 4 what is vegan. The food is delicious! We had to wait a long time and everyone was super hungry but it was worth waiting for. The burger buns weren't vegan so they put it on sliced bread without us even asking them to. I tried a vegetable sushi roll, hot sesame noodles, the chips and salsa, falafel wrap, and fries. All great! The wrap meal was huge! And only $7.95.

Good Veggie Wrap - Edit
I ate the veggie wrap and added avocado with a side of sticky sushi rice. This place is more vegetarian friendly than vegan friendly but the staff was knowledgeable as to which menu items had dairy and eggs so that helps. I do highly recommend the veggie wrap. If you are a strict vegan avoid the fries - the fryer is shared with meat items.
