Fresh onigiri - Edit
Amazing and fresh, the rice still being nice and warm when they hand it to you. Large selection of vegan flavours, bigger than the non vegan one. You can order to go in a wrapper or they can give it to you in a napkin if you plan to eat it right away, there is also an option to pack it into your container, which is awesome and saves some plastic.

pleasant surprise - Edit
i was walking around Warsaw and stumbled upon Niigata. I've been missing onigiri for the six months since i left japan. i went back the next day and tried three of their weganskie options. FYI there were more vegan than non vegan options. they were all good! no they aren't as pretty, tasty or well crafted as onigiri in Japan. but for Warsaw it's great.

It's a hit! - Edit
Subtle and stylish, Niigata is a unique pearl on the map of Warsaw. It's not fully vegan but a vegan-first place, as they have majority of flavors vegan and start the menu by listing vegan options (all that is to say, it's a different kind of place than the regular "vegan options included" type). We've tried 3 flavors so far and they were all unique, different & well thought through. Definitely coming back as I don't know any other place that serves anything like Niigata.
Read morePractical matters - 11zl per 1 onigiri. Single portion is big enough too feed you if you already had soup or were not completely starving. Amazing quality ingredients, rice & nori. Very friendly staff who would passionately advise on the flavors and teach you how to open the onigiri. They are packed in plastic so probably a good solution would be to ask not to pack if you plan to eat them on the spot (haven't tried asking yet but hopefully that should not be a problem).
Would give all the stars (and more) if was possible in the system.
Pros: Unique flavours & design, Friendly nice stuff, Best onigiri in Warsaw
Cons: Plastic packaging

Best Onigiri in Warsaw - Edit
This would be 100% 5 star place if went fully vegan. Onigiri here are delicious, nori is crunchy, they keep up with Japanese trends and have seasonal (temporary available) options.

Pros: Half of the options are vegan, Nori is separated from the rice, so stays crunchy, Seasonal options
Cons: Uses quite a lot of plastic

Vegan onigiri in Warsaw - Edit
Finally a place in Warsaw with good quality onigiri. I tried vegan options with umeboshi (and shiso leaves), miso-walnut and spicy tofu. All were delicious. Rice is also of superb quality. The staff were very helpful and understanding of veganism. I also had the rice milk matcha latte, which I loved. Highly recommended if you happen to be in this part of the city (which is really almost the end of the world, unfortunately!).
