Best spot on the island - Edit
Best spot on the island! Fully vegan, especially loved the fried vegan chicken and mushroom karaage, the ice coffee is delicious and staff are so friendly!

Good Japanese food - Edit
We came here very hungry at lunchtime one day. We ordered the mushroom kaarage and agedashi tofu to start. They were both very good. The mushrooms were good meaty chunks of oyster mushroom coated in a crispy and well seasoned batter. They came with a mayo that tasted like it had a bit more of a citrus flavour to it, it made for a good dip and I'm not a particular fan of mayo. The agedashi tofu came as a couple of big blocks of tofu that were well battered in a light coating. The broth was quite good but it could've had a bit of a stronger flavour. It was a tasty plate.
Read moreFor mains I got the Assam sambal fish rice bowl and my partner got a mushroom tempura rice bowl. We both opted to get a miso soup and green tea too. The soup was tasty with a few quite big pieces of tofu and some wakame, I'd prefer smaller pieces of tofu but that's just a minor complaint. The tea was fine and free refills were included.
The main toppings in both bowls were excellent. The fish was well seasoned and had a decent fishy taste and texture. The coating was good and crispy. The tempura mushrooms were enoki mushrooms and they were well coated and seasoned as well as drizzled with more of the mayo from the starter. The rice wasn't sticky short grain as I'd usually expect from a Japanese bowl so it was a bit tricky to eat with chopsticks but I have no issues with the taste of a different rice. There was a bit of a dressing over the rice which had a strong taste of keffir lime leaves, it was just enough to stop the rice being boring. The bowls were also topped with some vegetables, these were a bit dull. There wasn't any flavour or seasoning on them and the bowl would have benefited from having some pickles rather than just plain vegetables.
A good meal overall and I would happily go and eat there again but location wise it did seem to be quite far away from anything of interest.

Super veganes essen - Edit
Unser Sohn liebt das Fish and Chips dort. Aber auch die anderen Speisen sind sehr lecker. Der Grüntee, oder das Wasser werden ständig aufgefüllt und der Service ist toll. Extrem aufmerksam. Wir waren öfters dort.

Best vegetarian in Langkawi! - Edit
Really tasty all plantbased food. Really cozy, clean place. We’ve had the japanese udon noodles soup, and the nasi lemak, and fresh sushi. All vegan! Everything was delicious, and very creative. I definitely recommend this place for vegan enthusiasts. Last but not least really kind staff too!

TOO GOOD TO MISS! - Edit
Just, wow. Having had the privilege of visiting Kyoto in Japan, Nian cafe is truly a portal of transportation to the zen of authentic Japanese culture. Except better because everything is plant based 😨🤩 we have visited twice and every dish is a hit. We particularly love the Omni Fish and chips (a rare delight for us Brits!) and the karaage mushrooms are to die for and will satisfy any craving for deep fried goodness. I highly recommend the seagrape and floss sushi, so tasty.

Lovely cafe with great food and awesome service - Edit
This 100% vegan restaurant was absolutely worth searching out in Langkawi as there are very few all-vegan places on the island! Food was delicious and very reasonably priced, I tried the Special Nasi Lemak, Kitsune Don and Floss Uramaki. Clean, modern and inviting decor, they offer free Wi-Fi too.

Delicious food, completely vegan - Edit
100% vegan. Amazing food, really well presented and very friendly staff. They offer sushi, noodle and rice dishes, and an imitation fish and chips! Plus great (non alcoholic) drinks and one (very tasty) dessert.
