Waiter said food marked vegan is not vegan - Edit
Went there because menu had marked food as vegan. When I ordered, I asked the server "that's vegan right?" He asked "how vegan are you?" And then proceeds to tell me all the food is cooked in animal broth or with animal (chicken, beef) powder. I appreciate the server giving the heads up, but feels real shady if the restaurant is claiming food is vegan when it's not.

Decent - Edit
Just needed a snack .… there’s a few labeled options, and then of course some traditional veggie sushi rolls.. I got the hand roll which is always my favorite and it was very good and fresh here. I also got the bok choy and mushrooms and they tasted great. I tried to order lettuce cups with tofu instead of chicken but when the server asked the chef said no. Kinda bummed but not surprised. Still, decent for what it is. There’s a lot of great vegan places in this city but sometimes you’re stuck on the strip and ya just gotta eat!

Underwhelming - Edit
Flavor was bland but salty. Only vegan options are Lo Mein, Flavorful vegetables and veggie sushi. Edamame as an appetizer too. At least it was conveniently located near the elevator to our room. Fortune cookies are also vegan.

Good option in the area - Edit
The food here is quite tasty. There weren’t many options open later in the area with decent vegan food, so I ended up here. I was not disappointed. They were pretty busy with people dining in and getting carry out, but I still received good service at the bar. I wish things were labeled more clearly, but many dishes can be made vegan by switching the meat option to tofu, and the tofu is very well done.

NOT vegan friendly! - Edit
I came here due to happy cow reviews but was extremely disappointed.
Read moreStarted with the hostess not knowing any vegan options. The server asked me what ‘vegan’ was after showing me the vegetarian options. He said he could ask the chef but wasn’t sure what they could do.
I ended up ordering the veggie roll - honestly nothing to this for the price. And the vegetable spring rolls - unbelievably bland and I don’t know if the peanut sauce was even vegan.
Would not recommend this place to vegans. They’re uninformed, and for the price it’s not good food. Could get similar quality from a mall restaurant. Skip this and go somewhere more delicious and informed.
Pros: nice staff (but unknowledgeable)
Cons: high price for low quality of food, staff doesn’t know vegan options, no vegan options labeled

lettuce cups were good - Edit
Vegan options on the strip aren’t as easy to come by as they should be. The lettuce cups at Chin Chin are really good though. Ate here for the breakfast buffet as well and ended up having fruit and potatoes. Wish they’d offered more for vegans.

affordable - Edit
The prices were very reasonable. They tofu lettuce wraps were good. We tried two regular dishes with tofu substitution (instead of meat). They were only ok, somewhat bland.

Tasty Vegan Asian Cuisine - Edit
I really like Chin Chin because the menu is simple and any meat dish can be substituted with tofu to make it vegan friendly. I had a delicious veggies with rice dish and added in some extra mushrooms and brocolli. Appetizers also include vegan lettuce cups and potstickers so you can enjoy the meal even if your friends are eating sweet and sour chicken. There are mostly meat dishes on the menu, but the tofu is a great option for vegan diners and has lots of flavor.

good place on the Strip - Edit
We've been to Chin Chin at different locations in LA, but it's really nice to have them on the Las Vegas Strip where there aren't that many vegan options. Any entree can have the meat substituted for tofu. We went this last weekend with friends and we ordered family style. We got the Garlic Tomato Tofu (deep fried although you can also get it soft instead), vegetable lettuce wraps (yay, entree size!), and the vegetable lo mein. We also started with the veggie potstickers and spring rolls. Everything was tasty, especially the tofu. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. We've been here before and we will be back again. We would also recommend making reservations as it does get busy.
