Creative and delicious vegan Chinese dishes - Edit
Every item we ordered was fresh, delicious, and not greasy at all! They have pretty unique and creative dishes such as bamboo charcoal black sesame toufu with pumpkin sauce, which was yummy, so we can't wait to come back and try other ones for sure.

First visit - Edit
A little cozy restaurant with less than 80 seats? Gotta make reservation if you are going in big groups. Food presentation ok, food taste acceptable. Huge varieties on the menu. New items on steam pots menu too.

Value for money - Edit
I had the tomato based hot pot and I was so. Amazed!! The hot pot was VERY VERY flavourful with a very intense tomato broth and brimming with ingredients - from Beancurd to Beancurd skin to pumpkins to potatoes to conventional leafy greens to mock fish... we also had the glass noodles which had Beancurd in replacement of the scrambled eggs, but you can’t tell at all. Instead of being too chewy (the main reason I don’t like glass noodles), they were cooked to just the right consistency of being bouncy but still considerably easy to bite. I especially love their dessert - particularly the roselle hawthorn jelly, which is a very refreshing end to my lunch with that unique tang of hawthorn, while still living up its name as a dessert. If you are adverse to sour food, I’ll advice against this option.

Best Chinese food I’ve tried. don’t miss it! - Edit
Just taking a look at their new extensive menu you can tell you’re gonna have a great meal. It gets hard to choose. The presentation of every dish is amazing, the portions are good and everything is really tasty. There’s plenty of things I’ve never seen in other restaurants

Beat Bento at Jalan Besar! - Edit
This is my go-to vegetarian eatery for delicious bento sets. Their Bento set is one of the best offered in Singapore, since Vegan Place has closed down. They have daily specials and I personally like their Ban Mian too!

Really good Chinese food - Edit
Had their CNY Ala Carte selection here for lunch with a Friend working around the area
Read moreWhat we had:
• Thai Style Tofu - the tofu is slightly crispy on the outside and very soft & smooth inside. Goes perfectly well with the slight sweet, sour and spicy flavours of the sauce.
• Abalone Mushrooms with Broccoli - I love this dish so much! The gravy is so good it’ll make you wanna lick the plate too!
• Pineapple Fried Rice - really really good. For some reason the sweet and savoury flavour smells a lot like Mian Jiang kueh :D I can assure you it does not taste like Mian Jiang Kueh.

A Singapore Favorite - Edit
We chose the New Fut Kai for a team building dinner, with only one vegetarian among them. So it better had to be good. And it certainly was. With the help of the waiter, we chose some 10 different dishes with a spectacular hotpot as the main dish.
Read moreService, food and value for money were exceptionally good, especially when compared with some better known vegetarian restaurants in China Town and even some of the skeptics had to admit that this was the best food they had in Singapore so far.
So it's a big thumbs up from me!
Pros: Great choice and variety of dishes, Attentive and friendly service , Original recipes and lovely presentation

Good flavor. Requires some effort for vegans. - Edit
The meal I had here was delicious, but it took a little work to get there. Reviewing the extensive menu, one dish caught my eye, and I asked my server if it was vegan. He smiled charmingly and said, "Yes, don't worry, everything here is totally vegan." But seasoned vegans will understand what I mean when I say, you know how sometimes you just get that feeling that someone might not really understand what "vegan" means? Well, I got that feeling, so I asked him, to clarify, "So, no milk, butter, cream...?" And then the light came on for him: "Oh, yes, for this one we use some butter." I gave him a quick (and polite, of course) refresher course on the meaning of "vegan," and then he was able to guide me in making good choices from the menu.
Read moreI wound up ordering the "nonya fish curry" and the "ribs," both of which were excellent. Meals here are offered in three sizes, and on the server's recommendation I ordered the small size for each, which turned out to be pretty generous (I couldn't quite finish the two dishes).

My favourite chinese veg restaurant - Edit
I will rate it the best chinese restaurant. Their signature dishes includes pumpkin sauce fried abalone mushroom, sambal petai and chacoal soya fish pot. Most of my friends who went gave thumbs up for their dishes. Do give them a try.

Happiness is eating scrumptious Vegetarian Meal - Edit
After work and before the sky grow dark, it is such a beautiful leisure walk from Farrer Park MRT to New Fut Kai Vegetarian restaurant at Jalan Besar.
Read moreThis eatery has been around for many years but is my first time here. It gives me a feel of a casual nice eatery serving plenty affordable yet delicious local delights like Vegetarian Laksa, Olive Fried Rice ($4), Wonton Mee ($4) and many more …
Browsing through the menu, I order the Deep Fried Abalone Mushroom basted with special pumpkin sauce ($12). The deep fried mushroom paired well with the pretty curry leave drenched in the pumpkin sauce, interesting! Love it.
Braised Vegetarian Ribs with coffee ($12), another well-cooked dish. How can I resist their delicious Braised Vegetarian Sharks Fin? Yes, a must-have on my order and enjoy the steaming, heart-warming bowl of soup.
Don’t have high expectation of the service here, remember there is No service charge! A GST registered eatery, so GST 7% is inclusive in the bill. It is always great to have another option to dine, a place that serves delicious decent vegetarian food.
Pros: affordable, variety of dishes
