Cats, coffee and good vegan food - Edit
The experience here was just lovely. The food was really good and I ended up having a matcha latte as a desert, which unexpectedly was the cutest thing 🥰

What a fabulous combination of cats and vegan food! - Edit
A bit hard to find but it's worth it! The food is delicious and the cats are beautiful! You can either play with the cats or dine in or both. The charge for playing with the cats is 1300 yen for a minimum of one hour. Had a wonderful time here. Definitely recommend!

It’s fine - Edit
The food was good. The tomato sauce on the burger patty was sweeter than expected but still good. The drinks came really late. The soy meat Chinese style was great.

Relax with cats. Then eat good food. - Edit
At this place you remove your shoes, lock away your belongings, then choose to relax with cats or eat first. We chose to lay with cats for an hour since we’d just come from a day at Universal.
Read moreWe counted 24 cats total, spread out in two separate rooms. They were very comfy. Then we had a delicious meal of fried soy meat with rice, soup, cooked veggies and a light salad. They sell merch with pictures of the rescued cats!!! I died of cute overload.

Super cute (and open late!) - Edit
Great set menu choices. Super cute with all the cats. A relief to find a vegan place open after all these others seem to close in the area. Plus there are cats!

There is a difference between caging wild animals in a zoo for profit vs. having domesticated rescue animals in a cafe with mission to reduce stray animals.
Read moreI went there and the cats were all healthy and content. The place is small but it is enough space for the number of cats they have.
The profit earned is use to support these cats and to help more stray cats in Japan.

@misusyaya idk how I can answer you, I hope you will see my message.
Read moreI uderstand what you're saiying, and I know the staff really like their cats and try to take great care of them. I think the idea is good but in reality they don't have enough knowledge about animal neededs. The fact all the cats wear little bells on their collars even if the sound is very bad for their ears. And I repeat, 10 cats in 10m² is too small. It's still better than the street, I'm totally agreeing. And I think it's probably the best cat coffee you can find in Japan if you watch how they are treated. But still, and even if all the money earned is for the cats only, I think it's really weird to make people pay to play and pet them. For me, a real vegan cat coffee should be a coffee shop/tea saloon/restaurant idk with maybe 2-3-4 cats, but they are just here. You shouldn't attract customers with them, not use them as "tools" even if all the profits are collected for them or other stray cats (and I'm doubting about that like, ALL the profits... I think it's just a part but maybe I'm wrong).
I'm sorry but for me it's still not really vegan because of that.
But for Japan, it's a good start!

Café with rescue cats - Edit
I‘m so glad I found this place! The café is in a narrow backstreet and the place itself is also quite small but very cute. When you get in you decide if you want to eat first or play with the cats first. I chose one hour of playtime which was 1500 yen. The café area is separate from the cats but you can still see them through a glass window while you eat.

What a great way to relax and enjoy with rescued cats. They are so chilled out and very calm. We had lunch upstairs and paid 1,500 yen for 1 hour to play with cats.

Cute cats & yummy food - Edit
The vegan fried chicken and tartar sauce plate was really good, and the cats seemed very well taken care of! Although it isn't specified on their site, it seemed that a reservation is preferred since there are only two tables. It's also a bit hard to find; there is a narrow alley slightly down the hill and across the street from LIFE supermarket (don't go down the shotengai as I did, it gets confusing). There are photos with directions posted on their website if you get lost.

Cute cats and good food. - Edit
Most animal cafes in Japan are horribly exploitative and abusive. Not this one! The cats here are all rescues searching for their forever home, and the owner take the greatest care to ensure they aren't stressed out or scared.

Cutest cats and delicious faux chicken. - Edit
The faux chicken with the meal was delicious however the rest of the food was quite bland. I didn’t regret going though it was quite expensive if you go for the meal and to spend time with the cats. Looked like a small business so I was happy to support them.

LOVED this place! - Edit
We finally managed to find a legitimate cat cafe to visit amongst all of the ‘animal cafes’ throughout Japan that exploit the poor animals.
Read moreWe couldn’t love this place more if we tried. It’s tucked away and not full of tourists, it’s spotlessly clean and the cats are clearly loved and well taken care of.
We ate lunch upstairs (no cats allowed up there) and had the soy karaage lunch set and the taco rice. Both were the delicious, the karaage was the best we’ve had in 3 weeks in Japan.
This is a must in Osaka - lets support fully vegan cafes and the fostering and rescue of cats! 😊
Pros: Delicious food , Fully vegan , Supports the rescue and fostering of cats
Cons: A little tricky to find

Come for the cats, stay for the food, stay longer for the cats - Edit
Neu is a wonderful secret hidden away from the well trafficked areas of Osaka. It’s absolutely worth the 15 minute walk from Shinsaibashi and offers a wholesome experience that the busy Shinsaibashi can’t.
Read moreThis is a good review, so I’ll try to only talk about the food. It’s simple but delicious. If you order a lunch plate you get a mound of rice, some soup, salad, soaked mushrooms, a cup of bean sprouts and veggies and whatever style of soy meat you ordered. Very simple, but all of the components taste great.
Of course, the best part of this place isn’t the food. It’s the cats and hospitality. All the cats are rescues, and they’ve been treated well to the point that a lot of them are excited to see new humans around. I’d love this ace to do well so that the cats are well supported and can find good homes.
Pros: Tasty, Cats, Cheap
Cons: Somewhat out of the way
