Cute shop. - Edit
Every couple of months, at the least, I make the drive to Clarksville to hit up Roots, Great Sage and Nest. Nest's store manager is so friendly and helpful. I bought some crystals around the holidays and she was an immense help.

favorite place in my home state. - Edit
Eco friendly, conscious and artsy.
Read moreThe people working here have the best energy. They are helpful, kind and informative.
You can find crystals, kitchenware, vegan cookbooks, baby clothes, big people clothes, recycled material jewelry, notebooks, tea towels, scarves, purses and even some stuff for guys.
I have loved my recent purchases from them: a cute porcelain house tag with a wizard of oz quote and an eye bag for loose change.

Lovely bits and baubles - Edit
So many little things to look at in this shop. The staff is pleasant and friendly, sometimes very knowledge of the items they are selling. They do sell a lot of local artisans crafts and have quite a few fair trade options. Everything comes with a pretty steep price tag, but I’m sure it’s a lot to keep a pretty niche store like that in business.
Read moreI have noticed the staff changes quite frequently though I’m not sure why that is.
I appreciate the organization, but I wish they wouldn’t make it so gender specific. The children’s toys in the back are lovely. The teething toys for babies are whimsical and fun, though there is a teething toy that is made to like the a fawn which seems odd for a vegan to give a baby. (“Here chew on this baby deer”) Why???!!!
Pros: Cute, Calm, Eclectic
Cons: Creepy teething toy, Expensive

nice stock - Edit
This is a small store, but I do enjoy shopping here. They have a changing selection of eco-fashion and homeware. Employees have always been nice.

Disappointed - Edit
I have been searching for a pair of vegan shoes that are either made in the USA or fair-trade for about a year now. I have ordered some online, but have not had good luck with them being comfortable & have usually ended up sending them back. I was so excited to see the reviews on Happy Cow that this place carries vegan shoes & that supposedly "everything in the store is fair-trade." I'm not entirely sure where that claim comes from, but my husband & I went there & the few pairs of shoes that I would have considered wearing were made in China & there were no fair-trade certifications visible on them. I can't say much about the rest of the store because the only thing I was really looking for was shoes. The hour drive from D.C. wasn't a total waste, though, because we got to eat at Great Sage next door.

Quaint Animal and Earth Friendly Store - Edit
I always find myself feeling peaceful after visits to Nest. They have great stuff: books, home decorations, candles, food-themed items (e.g. water bottles and Bento boxes), bags/purses, clothing, jewelry, and more! I think my favorite things there are all the heart-warming greeting cards... very unique ones that you can't find just anywhere.

Cons: Some items are pricey
