Great vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options

The specials my husband and I had fir brunch were amazing. The seitan club sandwich and the vegan benni were both very tasty. Coffee locally roasted, excellent as well. Desserts for later have been tasted, the mixed berry bread pudding a favorite already! Four tables are outside on busy MLK, as well as inside options.

Pros: Location, near Rollin Oats, GF options, Pleasant staff

BLT

Delicious BLT!! The sandwiches seem so simple but they have so much flavor and just taste better than me trying to make myself.

Delicious

We stopped in for breakfast and found great vegan options. The quiche and hollandaise sauce is amazing. Will be back tomorrow as we're in town for a few days.

Cozy cafe with many options

Neighborhood Joe’s menu is entirely vegetarian, but nearly every dish can be made vegan. There are also always new dessert and snack options every time I come in. The service is always very friendly and the coffee is good, too! I just learned that they’re doing vegan charcuterie boards and wine on Saturday nights. Check this place out!

Delightfully satisfied

The coffee is spot on. I had the Tofu Scramble and would say it ranked in my top 3 of tofu scrambles, if not number 1. Wasn’t oily or overly saturated with soy sauce like in many other places. Had a nice flavor to it 😌 also love the variety of vegan gluten free pastries.

Pros: Vegan options, V/GF pastry assortment

Cozy place

Nice atmosphere. Lots of seating and ample parking out back. Nice staff. Decent vegan choices. We had the tempeh Buffalo and Reuben sandwiches. They were both pretty good with tons of flavor. 1$ extra for vegan cheese.

Pros: Choices , Seating and atmosphere, Friendly staff

Cons: Vegan add in on creamers and cheeses

Really cool place with pros and cons

The staff was really awesome and sweet, I absolutely loved the aesthetic vibes you get when you walk in and the warm comfort feeling of the coffee smells, the food was really good but I feel like it's a little overpriced as a vegan normal size but with veggie straws is almost $12. It was really good though, I also had a gf chocolate chip muffin which was massive for only $5 (same price as a massive cinnamon roll from cinnabon, just saying) the kombucha on tap was amazing, I had the morninga lavender, it was refreshing. A friend of mine had their matcha tea which had the perfect amount of sweetness not overly sweet like Starbucks or dunkin can be sometimes. They also sell some really cute merchandise like mugs and adorable tote bags (I couldn't resist buying a tote bag) overall, I would definitely love returning to this place again but maybe this time for just a pastry and coffee as it is overpriced for mains, soup is only $5 though, (my friend had the vegan red pepper soup) and she loved it.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Some gluten free options as im gluten free as well, Great atmosphere, really cool people work there

Cons: Slightly overpriced , Was served main course first before the soup i got, Wish they had fries + a gf cinnamon roll.

Yum!

Loved the vegan tempeh Reuben, green push smoothie and the vegan GF cinnamon donut (which was thrown into our order for free)! Seems like almost every menu item can be vegan and gluten free. Good covid safe ordering procedures. Would definitely go again if we weren't just driving through.

Decent tofu scramble

I tried this place out, because I kept seeing them on my Tampa Vegans page, but I wasn't impressed with the tofu scramble I ordered. They were out of quinoa, which was fine, so the gentleman on the phone asked if there was anything else I would like to sub for it. I told him the vegan cheddar. I later opened my to go box of tofu scramble and there wasn't any cheddar in it. I hope I didn't pay extra for something that I didn't get. Other than that, it's decent tasting.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Favorite breakfast spot

This has become my go-to weekend breakfast spot. I love the tofu scramble burrito with vegan cheese- it lasts me 2 days- and always get a WeVeganEats pastry. The staff is so kind, and the food is always quick. Plus, they have local art on the walls to admire while you eat.

Pros: Plenty of good vegan options, Great staff

wonderful neighborhood vegan cafe

Neighborhood Joe's is a welcoming, friendly low key community cafe with excellent vegan choices and really delicious food. I have been there many times and really enjoy the sandwiches, both the breakfast and lunch, and they will substitute to make sure the dish is 100% vegan. Highly recommend!

Awesome go-to for breakfast

The tofu scramble with quinoa is a fave for me. Very delicious and filling and nicely seasoned. It includes refried beans along with tomatoes and avocado. So yummy. Good cold brew coffee, and lots of vegan donuts and treats available as well. Staff is always very friendly.

Pros: Vegan options , Gluten free options

My favorite breakfast spot

I come here at least twice a week. I always get the “egg sandwich” but all vegan. On a bagel with tofu scramble, vegan cheddar and soysage. Omg. Def hit the spots when craving a breakfast sandwich (which I think most places fail at) ..coffee is great and on weekends their pancakes are uhhhhhmazing! I’ve had a few of their sandwich too which never disappoint just a bit on the small side. Their bakery options are pretty spot on too.

Pros: Super vegan , Inexpensive , Bomb af breakfast

Absolutely worth the trip as a vegan

This place is simply incredible. Almost every thing either is already vegan or can be veganized. All you have to do is tell them you're vegan or just choose from menu and say vegan cheese or vegan egg, etc. And ALL their (decadent) desserts are vegan. I particularly loved the BBQ tempeh sandwich on sourdough bread (multigrain bread is NOT vegan FYI) which came with colorful fry chips and a fresh strawberry. I also recommend the apple fritter and coffee cake crumble. WOWZA!

Pros: Mostly vegan , Almost everything can be easily veganized, Relaxed atmosphere, great service

Just Go!

I have see this come up many times on Happy Cow and always scrolled past it thinking there wouldn’t be enough options for a full on vegan but I was wrong!! Their menu is packed with vegan options AND gluten free 🙌🏼. I enjoyed my tofu breakfast sandwich very much. Outside seating was great too. Shaded and cool.

Pros: Many many vegan options !!, Vegan donuts , Vegan Breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches

Amazing pastries!

Came here with my boyfriend and we veganized the breakfast burrito and added soy sausage. Sooo delicious. Also got some of those cake donuts which are a must. Also tried the tempeh reuben and buffalo tempeh sandwhich. Both very tasty. I had a dirty chai with soy that was also delicious. Very easy to veganize. Loved the calm cafe atmosphere.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Wish the portions were a little bigger

Love this place

Owner couldn't be nicer. Staff is friendly and accommodating. No meat is served. Cafe is vegetarian with a variety of vegan options, including assorted pastries (vegan muffins, cookies, and donuts), buddha bowls, sandwiches (with vegan cheese options if desired), smoothies, oatmeal, plant-based milks for coffee, smoothies, soups (sometimes vegan, sometimes not). I'm obsessed with the buffalo tempeh sandwich and tempeh reuben. On weekends, you can even get vegan and gluten free pancakes and waffles!

Pros: Vegetarian with vegan options, free WiFi, awesome
