delicious lunchtime menus - Edit
They seem to have two locations - we visited the one on Rauhensteingasse 12, not a lot of space to eat but service is great and helpful - mix of veggie and vegan dishes to choose from - menu about 10 Euro for lunch - great value !

wonderfull - Edit
Wonderful wonderful 9 euros i paid for soup, 4 starters choices (very fresh chickpea salad-really, with still a bite to them- same for the brocoli, a beetrootsalad that seemed without vinegar!!!, very nice and an amazing supersuper kind of veggieburgerball), organic apple juice from the serve yourself bottle, and a main dish cumin potatoes with something that was also very friendly to the palate. It was a treat. Best to go before the one o clock rush hour if you don t want to stand up eating but rather sit....

Cons: no garden, small

Friendly service at local vegetarian lunch spot - Edit
I had a small portion of the dish of the day (a kind of vegetarian goulash) plus four small servings of salads to start. You can choose the salads from a range displayed at the counter. Alternatively there's a daily soup you can choose instead of the salads. Everything was tasty and freshly made. The person serving was friendly and helpful. It gets crowded at lunchtime so go early or be prepared to queue and possibly to eat standing up as the Viennese do!

Cons: not a huge choice, busy, may be crowded

Wrenkh Restaurant - Edit
My husband and I are vegan and finding appropriate dishes in Vienna can be a challenge. Wrenkh was a run-a-way hit. They have a cooking school in the next room. The presentation was lovely and the food was fresh and delicious. Their Ginger and sweet potato soup was the best I've ever had, and the vegetable consomme with root vegetable was great too. We had Curry-Quinoa with muchrooms,Lentils with dumplings, and cripsy grilled potatoes served with vegetables. We are in the food business ourselves, and I was very impressed with their kitchen. Wrenkh is owned by two young brothers. Karl talked to us about the restaurants history (it was previously owned by his parents. But his parents sold it, then the brothers bought it back! from the new owners. They grew up vegetarian and are very interested in fresh ingredients, healthy combinations, and a well thought out menu. Be sure to go here when you are in Vienna!
