Cute and yummy!

Their grill wasn’t open so our only Vegan options were chili and whole wheat roll or fresh, crisp veggies layered on delicious wheat bread sandwich. We got one of each and both were delicious! We also enjoyed a glass of carrot, ginger, beet, orange, apple, and cucumber juice. Yum!!

Pros: Fresh, Reasonable price, Cute dining and a guitarist playing

Cons: Very limited vegan options

Just Ok

They have several things listed on their menu as “vegan,” but question everything! I chose the portobello burger - marked as vegan - which came with non-vegan sauce to put on it, and you also have to request no cheese. Instead of one big portobello, it was small sliced ones that were tasty, but made for a messy sandwich. The bun was very odd. I’m sure it was vegan, but had a weird mealy texture. The ginger-sesame dressing for the salad was bland… all in all ok but not great. For dessert I tried a fig bar which they said was vegan, but I’m really not convinced. I couldn’t finish it anyway because it tasted terrible. I’d go back and try the place again, but that’s only because Yreka is severely lacking good options.

Also note they use a lot of honey, so if you are strict about that ask before you assume their vegan labeling is correct.

Pros: Friendly staff, Neat health food and gift store, They make an effort to have healthy options

Cons: Questionable “vegan” items, Mediocre food

Cute place in small town

Cute restaurant with very friendly service. Vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Great to see in such a small town. I had the portobello sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was very tasty and salad was fresh. A must visit and right off the 5 freeway.

Pros: Tasty vegan food, Super nice staff, Easy access off the freeway

Great

We stopped here because we stopped last year and entered them in Happy Cow. We had the vegan wrap which was outstanding. It came with chilly which was also good. Will stop here again.

Amazing Place!!!!!!

I've been going to Nature's a kitchen for years. The tofu wrap is my absolute favorite! Plus the people who work there are some of the friendliest you will ever meet!

The Heart of Yreka

For lunch or quick breakfast bites, there is no finer veg-friendly kitchen in Yreka. Gracious service and local, organic, from-scratch cooking. Organic espresso and lattes, breads and sweets baked on-site, lots of fun tchotchkes and grocery items available. This place has been around for a long time and doesn't get tired of doing it right.
