So many vegan groceries - Edit
They had so many specialty items there, everything you could possibly need. The produce was excellent quality and they had mostly everything in that regard. It was pretty pricey though. I didn’t go to any other grocery store though, so I’m not sure if that’s just typical prices in steamboat. Also, they don’t have paper bags, so you need reusable bags or use their old boxes there.

Downtown Good prices and options - Edit
If you have a kitchen in your rental your best option to pick stuff up and cook at home. Best selection in town. Prices are decent and not your typical mountain town mark ups. Plus they have the best local bucha mortal kombucha.

Go-to grocery in Steamboat - Edit
Best plant based and organic food options in Steamboat.
Read morePlus, the shop has a massive personal care section with a good array of vegan supplements and toiletries.
They’re also a decent zero-waste option in the area as they are friendly to not using produce bags and provide repurposed boxes to pack your haul up in. Bulk section is, however, mostly prepackaged bulk foods (in plastic) - partially due to COVID-19, but much of their bulk product was prepackaged in plastic before the pandemic anyway.

I love this store because they carry all organic produce and hold true to mainly GMO free products. The management is always helpful and outgoing. Great location also!!

Great Market - Edit
It is the rare instance that a hardcore ski town has anything remotely close to a veg*n friendly restaurant or market, let alone two of them.
Read moreNatural Grocers combines the artisanal and eclectic mix of frozen, packaged, and prepared-food products typically found in a specialty store with the professionalism, organization, discipline, and customer service of a Whole Foods. They are also "green centric" in that they box up goods in boxes that they received products from, avoiding the plastic bag pileup and recycle encumbrance. I highly recommend shopping there.
Pros: Right in town on bus route, Great mix of products, Friendly staff
Cons: Close at 8:04pm, Produce section a bit small
