Fantastic vegetarian/vegan cafe - Edit
My husband and I go here virtually every weekend, either for breakfast or lunch. There are only a few choices on the menu but after more than five years we still aren't tired of the taste. The staff and owner are very friendly and the small cafe is full of sunlight. As some other people have written, it takes some time for the staff to prepare the food, but we enjoy the slow tempo, reading our newspapers.

Great desserts, a bit expensive - Edit
Absolutely delicious matcha tiramisu and vegan cookie. Matcha soy latte was also great, but cost ¥800. Expensive, but honestly worth it.

Very good, very nice place. - Edit
I was searching for a place to eat just after I saw the Giant Buddha. This place is very nice, you can find it on a small street close by. The curry is delicious. My gf said the same about the burger.

Delicious! - Edit
We shared the macrobiotic plate and the vegan curry, both were very flavorful and artfully presented with care. We arrived after the lunch hour had ended, but the staff graciously allowed us to order lunch. The restaurant is very cozy and homey in its decor and vibe. They were playing the Beatles the whole time we were here which was unexpected but nice! Portions are generous and well-priced.

Cute bright interior, Organic, Almost vegan - Edit
This shop is near Hase Station on the Enoden line and a good detour for lunch or breakfast after seeing Hasejinja or the Kamakura Daibutsu. Nice to have a place open so early (8am) when spending the night in Kamakura. The breakfast set included yogurt, but I was able to ask the staff to substitute that to make it vegan. Several vegan dinner options as well, such as curry, macriobiotic plate and a veggie burger. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would give them 5 stars if they converted their menu to an entirely vegan one.

Organic veggie cafe - Edit
Natudeco serves 3 vegetarian breakfast set meals, and 3 veggie lunch set meals, & also desserts , smoothies, coffee, tea ,sake -beer-wine in a stylish wood and glass fronted building. Located midway between the popular Hasedera temple and the Daibutsu (Big Buddha), Natudeco is open 7 days a week, with breakfast service from 8-10:30 AM and lunch, drinks, desserts till 6PM. On Fridays, they stay open later for "aperitivo" (happy hour?). In any case, this is worth a visit for vegan / vegetarian food at reasonable prices.
Read moreTheir breads are natural sourdough and the only "meat" I saw on the menu was an egg included in one of the breakfast specials. For our lunch , we had the macrobiotic platter( $12 ) and the veggie burger ($9) . Both were delicious and vegan . The daily special dessert was chocolate brownies..Mmm. Service was quick and friendly. There is an English menu.
Directions: from the Hase Enoden (tram) station, walk uphill toward Hasedera on the Main Street, Yuigahama dori. About two minutes before reaching the Hasedera entrance, at the Viura cafe and Tabi socks shop , turn into the alley that leads to Natudeco, past coffee bars & restaurants .
Pros: Delicious organic vegan food, Friendly quick service, Enjoyable surroundings
Cons: Might be hard to find
