A filling lunch! - Edit
Love this place. There are several variations of rice bowls with plenty of veggies. The menu is labeled with gluten free options (almost everything is, or can be) and spiciness levels. Good portions at good prices and friendly, kind staff. The pod it is in has covered and uncovered seating areas, and a beer cart if that's your thing, too.

Lovely surprise! - Edit
This place rocks. I had trouble deciding what to get because all the bowls sounded incredi-bowl 😬 I ended up getting the Albina and the portion was massive! Also had great flavors and tons of chik’n. Would eat here regularly if I lived in Portland.

Big portions, big flavor - Edit
Generously portioned salads with great ingredients, friendly service, and unusual flavors. Finally, a place that loves pepperoncinis as much as I do!
Read moreNotes: I ordered the Chick’n salad because in that moment, a chicken substitute sounded more interesting than other items that are labeled as soy curls, but the chicken is just soy curls. Not bad, just not noted!
The tip selection window at this self-service spot, starting at 20% and offered at a height I can barely reach let alone change, ain’t it. I’d be happy to pay top dollar for these great salads…it just would be nice to have a a real price.

Broadway Bowl - Edit
The Broadway includes garlic tofu, peanut ginger sauce, cilantro, red cabbage, carrots, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds on a bed of jasmine rice. I would have preferred brown rice instead, but I enjoyed it overall, and it was big enough for two meals.

Friendly service but overcooked rice - Edit
I got the burnside bowl, the flavors were on point but the execution was not there. The rice was so over cooked I couldn’t eat it. The soy curls had good flavor but again kind of soggy. I want to give this place another chance because the service was very friendly, it’s in a cute area with lots of outdoor seating and the flavors were good just not cooked right.

Everything on the menu sounded great. I got the Burnside Bowl which contained teriyaki marinated chik'n, roasted garlic cloves, fire breathing dragon sauce, sweet red pepper slaw, carrots, scallions and black sesame seeds on a bed of jasmine rice.

Fresh and delicious bowls - Edit
Native bowl offers a variety of bowl options that are full of fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. Profiles vary from peanut sauce to teriyaki to buffalo and more. Unlike many places, they do not skimp on the vegan protein. Many dishes include a fake chicken (seems like beyond meat) and my bowl was packed full of it!

100% Vegan! - Edit
Native Bowl is still one of the best vegan food carts in Portland! I visited today & brought along my newly-vegan friend & we both highly enjoyed our meals (he had the Buffalo Bowl & I had the Big Chik'n Salad with teriyaki chik'n). I've always appreciated Native Bowl's commitment to local food sources, their friendly, swift service, & how flavorful & abundant their reasonably-priced food is! I look forward to visiting often.

Guiltless deliciousness! - Edit
We stopped in for lunch & our meal was fresh & hot. I chose the Mississippi & it was loaded with cruciferous greens, beans, raw veggies, roasted sesame seeds, & a flavorful sauce with a kick. My husband chose the Albina based on a previous review. He was very happy with the peanutty flavorful sauce over all his veggies, rice & chick’n. Great portions for killing our hunger & good on the wallet too. Cheerful service made this stop a pleasant one!
