Carnivores will enjoy- vegans will feel… meh… - Edit

My partner really wanted to come here while visiting Cambridge as we are big Mexican food fans and wanted something different to tortilla.
I was cautious having read the reviews on here, and seen both raving and terrible reviews on google.
I decided to try the burrito bowl salad.
Well it’s a bowl. Salad was misleading as there wasn’t a salad base
I had spicy jackfruit, black beans, some rice, pico (tomatoes), peppers and guacamole. Topped with mild salsa.
It was… fine. But honestly I feel I paid a lot for not a lot.
Total for my meal, my partners jumbo burrito and some chips w/salsa was £19
My biggest critique is that my food was not hot. Like temp hot. It’s a cold day and though I didn’t expect a salad to warm me up, I did expect hot beans (cold), warm jackfruit (cold), and perhaps roasted peppers (cold)…
All in all I think we would have done better w boring cheap tortilla. At least I could have gotten two meals, vegan churros and drinks for the same price there.
Won’t bother coming back.
Partner liked his chicken burrito so that’s… something ..?? #Veganuary

Pros: More than one vegan option , Guacamole is apparently vegan, Meat-eaters will be happy

Cons: Cold food, Guacamole is extra (as are peppers), One toilet for everyone

Lackluster - Edit

I can’t vouch for the authenticity of this place, but I find it kind of bland. Even the rice is screaming out for some spice. Filling and plenty of ways to order as a vegan, but there are other places I’d rather go for the same price.
