We had the khadai bindi, a flavorful dish with okra. The okra was lightly charred which gave it a delicious texture and flavor. It was slightly salty for my taste but I enjoyed it.
We also had the adrak ki aloo gobi, a dish with cauliflower and potatoes. This one was spicier but good.
Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu.

Best Indian in Santa Cruz - Edit
It is no surprise that Namaste has finally given Santa Cruz a solid Indian spot and has truly upped the competition and quality of the Asian food scene here in our little town.
Read moreI had first tried Namaste at their Los Gatos location and fell in love the quality of food and service. I'm so pleased that they've opened up a second spot here in Santa Cruz.
Their menu offers a wide range of options and items are clearly marked vegan, vegetarian, etc. I once again had their Okra Curry, a fragrant mix of okra with Indian spices cooked in a tomato based sauce. I also ordered their Eggplant curry dish that I had last time, and once again, it was fire. Pair that up with some saffron basmati rice and a paratha and you got a meal made for the gods.
The ambiance is lovely too - very modern with wonderful tableware setting and attentive service. Will definitely come back and encourage others to join in on the amazing delicacies of Namaste.
