nice place, cheap food, good taste

The food is nice and cheap and fast but the servings a bit small (for my appetite).
The faux fish is amazing!
And last but not least if you are missing bread, the French bread is also nice!

Pros: cheap, fast, many, many choices

Cons: small servings (but cheap)

Very busy

We were so surprised after we arrived that the tables filled up very quickly. It's by no means a fancy place but the food came out pretty quickly and was good. Small portions so you'll want to order a few items. That being said, it's incredibly inexpensive compared to other places you'll go to, so even though it's nothing too special, we'd definitely come back here. The map is a little off for the location however. It's near the corner but on the crossing street, so don't be discouraged if you can't find it right away!

Pros: Inexpensive, Lots of options

Cons: Cash only, not much seating, staff isn't especially friendly

Cheap and good for vegans

We live nearby and visit the place regularly. Food and service are always good. We pay only P200-250 for 4 dishes (2 people), which is amazing value. Food is always hot and freshly cooked. The only dish we wouldn't recommend is the fried rice, which was not up to standard compared to other dishes. They also have free WiFi, which is always nice!

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: None

Cozy and tasty

I ate here last year, when it still had the old name. I was happy to find the same nice lady, the cozy environment and the good food, with an even more extensive menu. I arrived at 20.45 and the restaurant closes at 21.. They had no more rice but they were happy to help me with my order. While eating I asked if it was possible to order something to take out and the nice lady replied to me with a yes of course and her warm smile. Food was delicious as I remembered. Definitely recommended.

Pros: Cozy environment , Delicious food, Cheap

Nice food, shame about everything else...

I patronized the Namaskar eatery several times during my stay in Palawan last year and I can't recall having any issues with the food.

Unfortunately, the operators are not as nice as one of the other reviewers mentioned - I was DEEPLY insulted during my last visit to the restaurant when I was overcharged for my meal and the son of the owner committed the most heinous act possible (to misjudge or otherwise persecute a member of the Holy Priesthood).

Then there is the issue of the washroom which is beyond disgusting, fact that they allow stray cats to run on the tables and the waitresses are extremely incompetent.

Pros: Cheap, Food is fine

Cons: Incompetent staff, Impudent owners, Filthy conditions

Best veg food in the city

I went here for dinner coming from the downtown area. It's a bit hard to find as it's on a residential street, but they have a large sign out front so you won't miss it. I ordered the God rice (basic fried rice, simple but tasty), the garlic bread (very good) and calamansi juice. The prices were quite reasonable and if the food is too bland you can just add hot sauce.

Pros: good value, located near downtown

Great find

A great place run by nice people.

First of all, it's not moderately priced at all, I would say it is very inexpensive and great value.

On the whole the food is tasty - loved the fried noodles at P40. The Heavenly rice (P50) is good too.

Some dishes did disappoint though. The God rice I thought was pretty bland and the portion small. The Ham burger i thought was tasteless and rubbery.

Most food is vegan unless it obviously contains cheese - this is usually a paid for add on anyway. Not sure if the cheese contains rennet or not.

The pictures are helpful when choosing from the menu, but beware that the ingredients listed at the bottom are not always everything included. So mention any food allergies if you have any, particularly peanuts!

Despite a few disappointments, this place is still a veggie traveler's heaven.I hope it's still around for many years to come!

Pros: affordable, Tasty, Helpful staff

Cons: some dishes bland to my tastes

Imaginative menu

This place is just the forecourt of a Philippine family house in central Puerto Princesa. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu options - lots of rice based dishes from around Asia with lots of imaginative uses of gluten and veggie protein. Cheap too and the food was cooked well.

Main downside was its attitude to opening times. It opens when it feels like it. I tried 3 times and only open once ... even then I was told that 'my mother is out so we're not open'.

I really don't mind this casual attitude, it's their restaurant after all. However, it's not much help to customers that have to pay for transport to go there when it is supposedly open only to find it is closed again ...

Pros: Varied menu, Good preparation, Cheap

Cons: Often closed

Basic and simple and good

Should admit that I visited in July 2011. Still remember it though, an oasis in a vegetarian unfriendly country. Very simple and basic place - but good food.

Pros: Price, Location

Nice restaurant with lot of vegan option.

Fake meat and fish options available. Very good place to bring your non-vegetarian friends, even Filipino people will find something they like. We tried the "chiken BBQ" iand everybody was really surprised. I definitely like this place. They are close on Sunday and sometimes they close for one hour if the owner need to go bank or buy something. :-)

Pros: Good value, Large choice, Friendly staff

Clean and good

Really easy to find, open everyday 9 to 9. Menu with pictures, not everything is vegan though but the waitress is really helpful. My fav. is the ham burger. really cheap too!
Better in the morning before they run out of buns, etc.

Pros: clean, cheap, menu with pictures
