Good food close to 95

Very friendly, very fast, and good food. It's hard to find vegan food while on a road trip. This was a nice find for vegan options.

Fantastic take out!

Great selection of vegetarian and vegan Thai dishes. Tofu can be sauteed or steamed. We enjoyed vegetable spring rolls, Garden Vegetable and Pad Ginger with Jasmine rice. Both of our dishes were delicious and the ginger sauce devine!

Pros: Perfect for travelers (less than a mile from I95), Tofu perfectly cooked, not heavily fried, Fast, hot and ready for pickup when we arrived

If I could give 5 stars, I would 💜

This is a delightful restaurant. Two siblings, Ben and Ellie served everyone in such a welcoming manner. They were very accommodating to us and to a vegan couple sitting behind us. The tofu with cashews and the basil tofu dishes were both delicious.

Pros: Friendly, Accomodating, Easy to eat vegan

Thai

Not a ton of vegan options in the area so was excited when I saw there was Thai available. They were able to make the Pad Thai vegan as well as a few other things. Everything about the dish was decent except for the Tofu. They didn't show it any love (seasoning) and it was just steamed so basically taste how I imagine the bottom of my Jordan's would taste 😅. That said, I'll try something different there today and be sure to ask for lots of sauces. 2.5 star.

Let down

We opted for takeout. Hostess was great when she realized we were vegetarian. Almost everything on the menu had shrimp paste/fish oil, but she guided us to the 3 dishes that had none - fried rice/volcano/amazing. We ordered all 3. The volcano came, covered in fried shrimp! The other two tasted like a few vegetables and rice (they forgot rice with one dish) covered in packet sauces. Really not quality and the shrimp wrecked everything.

Good Tofu!

I ordered the Volcano Tofu, and it was excellent! Be careful with ordering any other dishes though, because they use oyster sauce in everything except this dish and the Pad Thai. The Volcano Tofu was a bit expensive too, but it's a good size to share or keep for leftovers.

Pros: Good Tofu, Good Takeout

Cons: Not Enough Vegan Sauces, Confusing Menu/ No vegan or vegetarian indicators, Can be Pricey

What an awesome little gem!

Nakorn was our savior for a quick, off the highway vegan meal. Our entire road trip lead us to places further from the highway. This was hardly a couple minutes. Food was ready within 15 minutes, so we stopped for a bathroom break at the rest stop before the exit (southbound I-95). We got the Thai basil rice with tofu (no egg) and Pad Si-Ew - flat rice noodles with tofu (no egg). All menu items available with tofu as the protein. Reasonable prices and AMAZING food. This will be a mandatory stop on all our future East coast road trips!

Pros: Many options, Affordable, Location

Tasty dishes, nice atmosphere.

Every dish I’ve tried is good but favorites are the pad ginger, the yellow/green curries, the basil fried rice(it has egg, so ask) spring rolls, and basil rolls, tofu is crispy and tasty. Veggies are fresh. Heart shaped rice.
Friendly staff, usually just a short wait for food.
They have beer and wine.

Excellent!

We were concerned that we wouldn't find vegan options is this area and we were pleasantly surprised. The coconut tofu was amazing, and the sweet and sour tofu was crispy and so delicious! We loved it so much we are coming back again tomorrow.

Excellent Dinner - Great Menu!

We discovered Nakorn and decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did. I ordered the green papaya salad, my husband the tofu soup. For entrees I had the cashew nut with tofu and he had yellow curry with tofu. The waitstaff was kind and knowledgeable. The atmosphere delightful. I highly recommend Nakorn should you find yourself in Brunswick, GA or visiting Jekyll Island.
