Disappointing food but great location - Edit
Food was disappointing from what I was expecting, however it's so good to see a separate vegan menu.

My food was a little bland (rotolo pizza) and quite sparse, I think this place is all about the location rather than (vegan) food.
Hopefully as demand grows for vegan food so will the quality of their offering, but good effort nonetheless.

Naar has a specific vegan menu, but they are often out of some items, and the food is just ok. Great if you’re eating with a large group and/or meat eaters since you will have options.

Great location in St. Julien right by the water. Beautiful terrace and atmosphere. They have a separate menu which is fully vegan. The staff was very friendly. Overall very nice experience!

Had dinner there. Separate menu for vegans, which is great for not having to read about non-vegan options, even though they serve them. Staff is also knowledgeable about vegan wines.
Read moreI had a beetroot starter, which was a big portion, and not a starter by my terms at all. It was wonderful. Professionally made, well presented, tasty and healthy.
Had also a fudge cake with vanilla ice cream for desert, it was okay, but I wasn't blown away.
My boyfriend had some sort of pasta, which was waaay too much pasta and too little of the other vegetables, but he was satisfied with it.
The place has a great view of the sea/beach and pool, and the waitress was extremely helpful and pleasant. I wish we had gone there more times.

The pizza is amazing and creative too! Particularly enjoyed the rotary pizza rolls! The vegan cheese & vegan mozzarella is so yummy too! 😋
For the desserts, they brought out the cakes on a platter so we could see and choose which we’d like which was lovely. The staff were kind and attentive.
A really great find in Malta! The best food we found during our stay!

They treat you like vegan is the normalest thing on earth. They put there special vegan menue on the table, without to ask for it. They have many vegan meals, and Beer/wine, which i didn‘t try. I had the rotolo pizza, with an incredible cream cheese sauce.

Really excellent food and ambience- great option if in a group with people who aren’t all vegan- they had a vegan burger, pasta, stew- I had the burger which was delicious. Although on the day that we went they had run out of the vegan chocolate cake they were able to present me with 5 alternative raw cakes not on the menu. They also gave me a lovely bean dip as an alternative to butter. When coupled with the beachfront view, cocktails and lovely waiting staff this is definitely a hit!

The location is great and the food isn’t bad. However vegan pizza without cheese always irritates me, it’s not pizza and wouldn’t cost them anything to keep a block of vegan cheese at the back of the fridge. The most annoying thing though is the vegan breakfast is only until 12 and the pizza from 17:00, meaning if you’re there between you’ve got a choice of a salad sandwich that comes with crisps and not chips (another pet hate) or the vegan burger which is pretty decent. There’s no reason why all those options can be made available all day! The staff are pretty lax we even had to an for a menu

I cannot recommend this place enough. I've been in Malta for 3 days now and already been here twice! I had the vegan star calzone which was packed with veggies on my first trip. And on my second visit, I wanted to try the vegan chocolate cake everyone had mentioned. When the waiter said they had a new dessert menu and would be back with it, I thought I was going to be disappointed. How wrong was I! They had 4 cakes to choose from. I tried the snickers cake and the chocolate orange and both were incredible. The staff are lovely and the view is stunning. Definitely gets the thumbs up from me ❤️

Stayed very near this place and ended up going in everyday (twice for breakfast)! Ended up eating the full English on both of those occasions and the vegan burger on the first day! All food was average but defo not bad ! Although just a sidenote they put on plain tofu and beetroot slices on top of the burger which imo really don't work 😎 Also the music being played is incredibly loud but me and my friends found that across most of the restaurants in Malta !!

My husband and I just visited Naar today and tried the vegan pizza and vegan burger. The pizza was delicious and the burger was good but not quite as tasty. We also had the vegan chocolate fudge cake which was divine with espressos. Staff were great and had a very positive experience

My friend and I visited Naar twice during our holiday. The first time I had a stew, which was quite nice, and very warming, and the second time we both went for the Vegan star pizza, which was really lovely. It didn't have any vegan cheese in, but plenty of fresh veg. We stupidly decided to get a side of fries, and both ended up taking some of our pizza away, which was great for lunch the next day! Be warned, though, as they don't do their pizzas on certain days, and may stop doing food early on some days, so check in advance to avoid disappointment.

Awesome spot with great vegan options! We had vegan pizza, burgers, pasta, apps, desserts - it was on point. Worth double checking that “vegan” has no dairy, as they serve Quorn labeled as vegan and I’m not sure it actually is, but they were very accommodating and the food was great. Also, great ambiance on the water.

Thats the name as they listed their vegan burger. I was sceptic but that is nearly the best burger i've ever eaten. The side dishes were really tasty as well and there are much more on the menu like breakfast, pizza, pasta and more. The price is good because you get really high quality food!

Since I barely go out to eat, I was basically clueless of what restraunts offer good vegan food other than the obvious Grassy hopper. When my boyfriend visited Malta we decided to try this restraunt out based on Happy Cow reviews. The vegan burger we had was delicious. Nothing to complain about. The presentation was perfect and simple.
