Delicious curries and modern take on the cuisine. We ordered lots of sides and small dishes to share which were all clearly labelled on the menu as vegan: Roti, plain Naan, Tarka Dahl, Biriyani (the sauce was next level warming and aromatic - complex flavours), spinach dish (can’t remember name) and the potatoes. Can’t fault any of it and between 2 of us it’s was plenty of food.

One of the best Indian meals we've had. Lots of vegan options and things that can be made vegan. Clearly marked menu. Lovely service and atmosphere too. We had a biriani, sides, pea fitter starter, and yellow daal. All fragrant with levels of flavour. Highly recommend.

What a gem! We ordered the lentil dahl, the pea fritters, the rice and the plain naan. I really liked the dahl, the portion sizes were big and totally worth the money.

During our recent trip to Valletta, Malta, we ended up dining at Naan Bar, a remarkable Indian restaurant that left an indelible mark. Honestly, we prefer to avoid Indian restaurants during our travels as there is always a hit-or-miss (rarely-a-hit-and-mostly-a-miss) proposition. However, based on good reviews, we decided to try Naan Bar and it exceeded my expectations in every way possible.

The interior exuded a delightful fusion of traditional Indian décor with a contemporary twist, creating an atmosphere that was both trendy and cozy.
The menu at Naan Bar has a good selection of vegetarian dishes, and it was evident that the chef's expertise shone through in every creation. We found more than your typical North Indian curries and paneer dishes common in Indian restaurants outside of India. Each dish had vibrant flavors, tantalizing aromas, and impeccable presentation.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the naan bread. Soft, fluffy, and perfectly baked, it was the ideal accompaniment to the delectable curries and gravies on offer. Whether it was the rich and creamy paneer tikka masala or the aromatic vegetable biryani, every dish showcased a symphony of spices that delighted our taste buds. One unique thing about naans is that they include 2 full naans in 1 order (this was the only time we have seen so). The Naan in the name of the restaurant is well deserved (perhaps they should rename it to Naan Naan?).
Would love to visit again and do recommend this restaurant who crave for tasty vegetarian dishes.

Great Indian Restaraunt with loads of options. Looks like nothing from the outside but fantastic inside with great food and fantastic service. We shared a number of side dishes which were all lovely. We called in on the off chance but it might be worth booking as it did get busy.

Lovely modern Indian food, which means it is not overly oil, the kind of thing you get in the more 'traditional' restaurants.

I would particularly have liked a thali, nice little dishes so I could sample the menu and enjoy varied dishes.
We stayed at La Falconeria, next door, a very Vegan friendly boutique hotel with delicious breakfasts, so much choice served with a smile

They have a "Malta's Best Restaurant 2021" award on display and judging by our meal it's well deserved. They offer a decent selection of vegan mains and sides.

I had the vegan bean dish (forgot the name) and roti. It tasted really great and fresh. Though it was labelled as a small dish/starter it was definitely enough. The actual mains I found very pricey but they also looked fancy and delicious! If you don't want to spend that much, a side with roti will fill you up perfectly:) the waiters were all super friendly as well. I can really recommend this place.

Amazing vegan Indian food - Edit
They have several vegan items on their menu, we ordered 3 vegan sides, tandoori roti and rice and it was more than enough for 2 very hungry people. I highly recommend the „Nimona“, it was a very special dish and the best thing we had there. The only downside is that it is quite pricy but for the quality of food it was alright.

Delicious Indian food and helpful staff - Edit
The menu features 4 vegan starters (labelled vegan) and 1 vegan main- the sauce had yoghurt in it but the waitress was helpful in getting us a vegan tomato sauce instead. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back if we visit Valletta again, they seem very vegan friendly so hopefully they will add a few more mains 😁there were also vegetarian options too
